just out of curiosity , how did they even confirm that its your application? did they ask for any specific details?starnaenae said:So ive looked at the spreadsheet and people who sent their app after me are getting their AORs... so i was getting concerned and i called CIC. They gave me my file/application number and said that everything looks good. meds and police check received as well which puts my mind at ease!!! He told me that OFFICALLY they are processing applications received up to Feb 20 at this point but noted that all officers work at a different pace... im going to take that as my AOR1!!! Which excites me... was getting worried thinking it would get sent back.. he stated that the officers wouldnt create a file to send an incomplete application back so thats good!! i also have a UCI but he couldnt provide it to me over the phone...
he stated that i wont be able to link the application until i have my SA... which is odd but thats ok.. and that leads to my next question... how many people are included in our app if there is the Sponsor, Primary Applicant and a Dependant? 2 or 3?
Thanks all
Dont get discouraged by other peoples dates...
i have been trying to link for the last few days and havent been able too... i wouldnt say that its NOT accurrate.. he said that there is a system glitch... it could be different for me because my husband is in canada.. it doesnt matter whether it is accurrate.. i posted as a heads up... thanksdanawhitaker said:The last part isn't even accurate. People are able to link the application before even getting the AOR1 e-mail.
That being said, with number of people, most people seem to have luck with using 2. In my specific case, I was able to link only with choosing 1, even though I had a dependent on the application.
Thats amazing ! congratsstarnaenae said:yeah my husband has a uci because he has a visitors visa... and they confirmed my details as well
I understand, but someone reading that might be deterred from even attempting to link before getting sponsor approval. There's no reason anyone should feel like they can't try. It causes no harm to the application. The quicker you're linked, the quicker you're able to get a feel for what's going on with your application.starnaenae said:i have been trying to link for the last few days and havent been able too... i wouldnt say that its NOT accurrate.. he said that there is a system glitch... it could be different for me because my husband is in canada.. it doesnt matter whether it is accurrate.. i posted as a heads up... thanks
like i said ive been trying for a few days now with a bunch of information and now our application number and still nothing.. so id like to see how many people ACTUALLY link prior... are they doing it through GC Key or are they doing it through CIC?danawhitaker said:I understand, but someone reading that might be deterred from even attempting to link before getting sponsor approval. I tried linking for quite a while before actually getting it, and it had nothing to do with it not being in the system for linking. It had everything to do with one piece of information having been entered wrong/scanned wrong by someone at Mississauga which caused me to be continually trying with wrong data. Hence why everyone posts a bunch of tricks for linking. It's all about finding that right combination of information to make the proper link.
I managed to link mine today after getting my AOR1 a couple days ago. Quite a few trial and errors but finally got it sorted today... had to say it was for 2 of us (me the sponsor and him the applicant) and when the account number & name option and thankfully it worked out this time. Nothing really happening on there just yet though.starnaenae said:like i said ive been trying for a few days now with a bunch of information and now our application number and still nothing.. so id like to see how many people ACTUALLY link prior... are they doing it through GC Key or are they doing it through CIC?
Use the PA info to link the account. Use 3 if there is dependant.starnaenae said:so i just got my AOR!!! They started processing the spousal sponsorship yesterday which is GREAT!
i cant link the application... do we use his (PA) information or mine (SP)? How many people are included in the application? there is my husband and his son and then me, the sponsor. is it 2 or 3? i tried following the steps in the spreadsheet and it didnt work... the AOR also didnt say ANYTHING about 7 days to link.. it didnt even say anything about it lol... any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!
Thank you SO much!Survivor27 said:Use the PA info to link the account. Use 3 if there is dependant.
