I have a Question for you. Do CIC/Immigration do reference check of our file? If so, in what way?

Hi everyone! Does anyone know based on previous experience how many days do VO need in general to issue the visa & turn back your pass? I m trying to book the flight but i dont know how many days to calculate approximately ???

Regardless what anyone tells you, you would be taking big risk buying airplane ticket before the visa is in your hand. Is there a reason why you need to take risk?

Hey guys, got some news again. Wife is here in Canada with me on a TRV, but her parents in Vietnam say Singapore VO mailed our photos and other stuff back, along with our passport request letter yesterday. Glad it's not an interview letter haha. However, she's planning on leaving Canada in 3 weeks so we can send the passport right away and get the PR visa right away.

After she gets her PR visa will you be flying to Vietnam to give her a hand for her prep to come to Canada?

I hope this is my month ! I send the application,police certificate and medical for my wife in March , so the end of March we received a mail that the application is received in Mississauga. After one month we received another mail with SA, and the day after one more , with " application has been forwarded to VO Vienna " . From May until now we didn`t hear anything from Vienna . Now I have few questions .
1 - Does anyone from this topic is waiting visa from Vienna ?
2 - Is March my month ? Or maybe May , when they received in Vienna ?
3 - With the tourist visa , which was denied , we saw that my wife have UCI number , what does it mean ? That`s AOR or ?
4 - Did anybody who applied in March get their visa ? Our status on ECAS says Application received ...
This waiting is hard ... Please answer me on this questions. Thank you!

1. According to the March spreadsheet, I don't see any vienna applicants. However, I don't think that matters.
2. Yes, the date Mississauga received your application is your date.
3. The tourist visa has nothing to do with your spouse sponsorship. Therefore, that is not AOR.
4. Yes, a few March applicants got their visa and even more got PPR and in process on their ECAS.

Did you consider emailing the Vienna VO? You can ask them if they have received your application.

Vienna is one of the fastest VOs ? I saw in few topics here , that people are complaining about Vienna office...There are 17 months of waiting ...
With the UCI she can enter in ECAS with her ID , and she can see the status of Application received ...
In June we wrote to visa office in Vienna if they received our file and they replied that the application was transferred from Mississauga to their office in Vienna in May 2014 and they will contact us if they need additional documents. That was our last contact with Vienna.
In this forum people says that Vienna is one of the slowest VOs ....

Actually no I won't, because it seems a bit pointless to fly back there for a couple weeks just to bring her stuff back. We're planning on going to Paris early next year, so we're trying to save up money for that.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't posted lately we have been busy getting ready etc. Just letting everyone know that I landed this past Thursday, Sept 4. Everything went smoothly and it feels so good to finally be together with my wife again I pray everyone gets their approvals soon and everyone who is awaiting their flight has a successful landing as well.
