It seems things are very rosy for all March applicants! Lots of people have already received their PPR and visa.

My Ecas status has been In Process sine last week.

My Ecas status has been In Process sine last week.

Well, keep in mind that the Manila VO and the Ottawa CIC office send PPR before ecas shows "In process". So that can seem the process going faster, when in fact it is not.

Hey everyone, congrats to everyone that has received their PPR and AOR2. I have yet to hear anything, haven't heard a thing since April. I would truly like to know how the applications get processed once they hit the proper visa office. A friend who lived in the same city as me applied 3 weeks before I did, they got their entire visa processed in less than 4 months and have been in Canada for nearly a month. However i have yet to receive my AOR2 from Beijing. Must be luck of the draw i figure. Just wanted to say congrats to those that have gotten their PPR and visa's already and good luck to those like me that are sadly still waiting.

Hi all, an update here. Status changed today (2/9) to DM! Guess we will get back the passport within days!! So excited!!

Pending a final assessment of admissibility criteria to ensure that all requirements have been met, your permanent resident application may be ready for approval and visa issuance in the near future. In order to finalize your application more quickly, we are requesting your passport(s) at this time.


You must submit your passport(s) to this office within 30 days of the date of this letter in order to finalize your application. Read and follow the important information and instructions set out below.

all requirements have been met,then why asking for my police cert again?do u have the same mail BunnyB?

Also,are they requesting you to submit the passport within 30 days?

and in the last paragraph

Due to the volume of visa processing at this office, it generally takes us 20 working days to issue permanent resident visa documentation and return your passports.

that means i will get back my passport around 20 working days?and it sounds i have passed all requirement and its kinda like a final confirmation,do u guys think so?

In my case after 2 months ECAS updated in process and then after 3 weeks they requested the missing documents(certificates) and then the next week i got PPR. so 3 month in total it took for the VO(Rome Office) to ask for PPR. It depends on which VO you are.Maybe people in the same VO with you can help you with a similar description...good luck with your app!!! keep the faith

Haha, ya i've check in with the China forum and seems if you applied in February that they've issued everyone their paperwork. Those of us in March and later haven't heard a thing. Requested my first set of notes to find out exactly how far along we are. Just hoping to be home by Christmas now.

It can be frustrating watching those who have applied after you from the same visa office, get PPR or even Visa, while yours sits as 'application received'. I'm there with ya...

same as you... I applied on early Jan and still waiting for PPR but I have seen many March applicants got PPR or visa...what HKVO is doing...

Hey all, my wife finally got her AOR2 from the Beijing embassy so please update my status. Who knows maybe they say my comments hahaha. Good luck to those still waiting
