Hey guys!

So we are a couple of idiots. I guess the Visa Officer was calling yesterday to simply confirm his email address. Somehow he thought she was asking for the password and blurted it out.. but I think she was just confirming that he knew it.. lol. I got an email from CEM confirming that the phone call was real, and saying that she was just confirming the address.. they also said they sent remedical instructions for him and his non-accompanying dependents yesterday. We never got such an email.. They have the address correct as they CC'd him in their reply to me.

Guys - did you ever hear of remeds for Non-Accompanying dependents? At all? It doesn't make sense to get re medicals for people who aren't going. I guess I have to wait for them to re-send the email, I hope they will send it soon!

Anyways - it's good news because it means they're finalizing our file! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ;D

Why do non accompanying dependents need a medical? Really sounds like a scam now. Did they have to have a medical on the original medical?

We're still waiting on the email.. just they mentioned it ("medical for non-accompanying dependents") in the letter that they sent me to say the phone call was real, and they mentioned it to him on the phone.

Sounds strange to me but I'm paranoid.
 
All family members accompanying or non accompanying are required to undergo medical and police clearances.

This is normal... I had the same questions... But it's in the guide.

When my husband got his medical and filled out his application, he also was supposed to get a medical for his daughter, even though she is not accompanying. Her medical would be needed in case he wanted to sponsor her sometime down the road. However, since his ex-wife wouldn't allow it, she didn't get it done, and my husband had to sign a statement recognizing that failure to include her medical at the same time as his application meant that he would be unable to sponsor her in the future. If you got the original medical done for non-accompanying children, then maybe that's why they're asking for it again. You'd be unable to sponsor them in the future if you didn't include it. That's just my guess.

Thanks guys. But they already underwent a medical, same time as my partner. Do you think it makes sense to give them a re-medical even though they are not coming? It was similar to the case above, he had to sneak the kids to get the first medical done! It was quite a hassle.

Mention you have a few friends you want to inquire about as well and they are in an attachment... Then send the Manila VO spreadsheet!

I guess it's easier to just tell him to send twice the amount of officers in CEM then?

how did you get them to reply to you (so fast) and you are not over the reqd time, they didnt reply to me, you must NOT BE one of the following----- a man, caucasian, canadian citizen at birth, tax payer for almost 40 years, never lived in a prison, married to applicant oh now i know you are a woman LOL, I know you are nort married but i wont hold that against you (a marraige licence doesnt mean you love your partner anymore) love you steph MAYBE I SHOULD GET BREAST IMPLANTS, I BET THE GAYS ARE GETTING THIER VISAS FASTER THAN MY WIFE :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P
