I agree that it's infuriating for somebody who got processed so fast to insinuate that your relationship is somehow not as genuine, or that you did something wrong. Looking at their post, comarxx is just curious to see why the application is so far behind.. as if there was a logical reason for it, but I think it was just a paperwork problem.

I don't have to tell anybody here this, but you will see a lot of Filipinos biased against marriages with male foreigners as is evident in a lot of attitudes.

If you guys think it's a bias that's coming through in the actions of the Embassy, and I think you have a good point there, maybe you should do something about it.. what is that CBC program that exposed the RBC scandal?

Then there's a very small group of Canadian girls who met a Filipino man.. like me, and like the wife of Doljan. So don't blame him for getting his visa so fast because his wife is a PR! She's a Citizen like us. They just don't have any red flags, have a nice relationship history, a lot of time spent together, and were VERY lucky with processing times.
So that means it is the luck of the draw, nothing to do with first come first served, i know a couple, they have gotten at least 1 moose licence every year now for over 30 years, i think the odds on that are more than the lottery which is something like 16 million to 1. oh i didnt tell you they have a relative who is in the government.

Wow, but did they get a Cow tag every year? My Dad goes in with a group of 5 friends every year. Somebody will always get a Moose tag and sometimes even a Cow tag and a Moose tag for the group.. last 2 years they got an Elk tag! First time.. Guess what, the Elk were hiding that weekend :p
My guy can't wait to go Moose hunting as is family tradition.. oh no!!! He also can't wait to try Moose.. maybe we can have a new flavour, Moose Adobo.. also he wants to try Canada Goose, it looks pretty yummy to him.

Moose license? Do they make good pets? ;D

My relatives in Saskatchewan go hunting a lot. I tried moose when I was there and yeah, it tastes great. Then again even the KFC tasted great there so maybe it is something in the air or water... :p

I wonder if there are any places you can buy it in Toronto? I thought elk was pretty good too (had it as stew a lot). Boar is also good. I still have to try bear some day, my mom said its pretty good. Maybe I should look into hunting. But as a city guy I don't get up north too often.

That's the thing about having rednecks in the family.. you don't know what kind of Casserole it is. Found out too late it's Bear.. found out too late the pepperoni was Cougar.. it can really freak out extended relatives or house guests, lol. I remember bringing a visitor to my Aunt's house and enjoying surprise Moose lasagna.. they had no idea. Then there was the Bear Lasagna incident. To this day I know one relative that won't eat anything a certain family member cooks.

Does it really taste great? Because it smells like wet dog while it's being cooked. I can tell immediately if it's ground moose cooking vs ground beef.

I thought so. Of course it could just be that it is different. But I doubt that. I had a cowfoot soup at this one place. Smelled good, tasted blech. So I guess it must have tasted good. You can't always go by smell anyway. If that were the case who would eat Durian?
