yES I WAS JUST IN MANILA LEFT ON MARCH 12, BUT THEY WONT ENTERTAIN US, I AM JUST NOW OVER THE 12 MONTHS ON MARCH 20, NO SENSE IN EMAILING THEM THEY WONT RESPOND, JUST WAIT UNTIL THE 45 DAYS FROM FEB 23 WHEN SHE GOT HER REQUEST FOR A WRITTEN EXPLANATION, THAT WILL BE APRIL 7 SOMETHING SHOULD HAPPEN TO OUR FILE AGAIN THEN, MY MP was going to check on march 4 but i requested thay not do so then as we had just returned our written explanation a few days prior, and asked that they could help me at a later time. YOU GOT NO IDEA HOW IT FEELS TO SEE APPLICANTS FROM JULY AND AUGUST GETTING PUSHED THROUGH TO SAVE THIER MEDICALS WHILE OUR APPLICATIONS SETS ON THE TOP SHELF.

I'm just curious - did your wife receive this as snail mail? Are they losing letters? The embassy screwed up the email address we provided for them, I noticed it because they CC'd me in the PPR email. It's terrible that you can check your address is correct on ECAS but not your email address.

yES THE 1ST LETTER MARCH 22 WAS SNAIL MAIL, THE MAILMAN GAVE THE LETTER TO AN OLD WOMAN WHO SIAD SHE KNEW MY WIFE BUT ACTUALLY KNEW SOMEONE ELSE WITH THE SAME NAME, SHE DIDNT GET THE LETTER TO THE OTHER WOMAN FOR A MONTH. bUT ON THE FRONT OF THE LETTER WITH THE ADDRESS WAS MY WIFES PHONE# ( ALSO IT SAID CNADIAN EMBASSY URGENT ON THE ENVELOPE) the postman could of txt her. OMG i didnt even know about (about forums) until after dec,2012 when they extended the time to 11 months, i had every thing ready to get the gcms IN JAN,2013 but because of the help of my MP I FELT I DIDNT NEED THEM 8) I imagine there are a lot of people out there that doesnt know about these forums and the information they can give u, just think my aplication was in over a year befiore i discovered it, and thats because i was finally getting disgusted waiting patiently as they say to do Didnt know about GCMS before i found the forum

Yup, we've been fast tracked Manila style Our meds expired June 2012.. actually on our GCMS it doesn't even register that they have them.. it says Meds sent to wrong VO? How is that even possible.

Well i just cant believe they are giving out visas now without asking for the AOM, supposedly thaT IS WHAT HELD
UP MY APPLICATION FOR OVER 10 MONTHS IT WAS SENT 2 DAYS AFTER THE PASSPORTS IN A DIFFERENT ENVELOPE AND THE FILE # WAS NOT ATTACHED, THEY WOULDNT BOTHER REGISTERING THE NAME ON THE aom WITH A FILE APPLICATION, THEY JUST THREW IT OUT AS GARBAGE, AND DIDNT BOTHER TO CONTACT US AGAIN SAYING THEY DIDNT RECEIVE IT. jUST LEFT US TO WAIT PATIENTLY LMFAO

RUH-ROH.. if you don't know what an AOM is, you had better get your wife to order one now. It's the opposite of a CENOMAR, it can only be obtained by ordering a CENOMAR from the NSO, if you're married you will get an AOM - or Advisory on Marriage.

I feel so stupid that I had been reading about AOM's the whole time and never thought my partner would have to get one.

My wife did all that when she changed her passport. Took a 2 hour course and got her pasport stamped. There was one thing she didn't have to do because she was over 30 that might be the AOM.

It's not a course.. it's a document everyone has to get from the NSO. Most people include a Marriage Certificate from the National Statistics Office. This isn't what they are looking for - they will always ask for an AOM from the NSO. Your wife should get one before you get a PPR that specifically requests it.. we have been waiting for delivery of that document for what will be 2 weeks now when we could have had the passport sent already.

I will ask her but I'm sure we've had this conversation. When she went to change her passport to her married name she had told them that she married a Canadain and they suggested that she get some additional document or stamp or whatever. I will check with her again in the morning but I'm pretty sure she has everything covered there.

It's not an additional stamp in the passport.. this is the same thing as a marriage certificate, but in a different format. They require it from almost everybody. It can only be obtained by ordering a CENOMAR from the National Statistics Office. You can order it yourself here: https://www.ecensus.com.ph/Default.aspx
Then get her to print out the receipt and go and present the reciept at BDO (or wherever) to pay for it. The cost is just under 500p

MY WIFE GOT HER AOM IN DAVAO AND RECEIVED IT THE NEXT DAY. I READ IN THE FORUM THE OTHER DAY THAT AN APPLICANT WAS ISSUED PPR AND TOLD TO PRESENT A CONFIRMED FLIGHT BOOKING WITHIN 10 DAYS SO THEY COULD REACH CANADA B4 THIER MEDS RUN OUT. THEY WERE EXPECTING TO HAVE TO SEND THE AOM BUT WERE NOT EVEN ASKED FOR IT. IM PISSED OVER THAT TO THINK MY APPLICATION WAS IN LIMBO FOR 10 MONTHS JUST BECAUSE WE FORGOT TO PUT THE FILE NUMBER ON THE AOM WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO FIRST COME FIRST SERVED 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

i ordered mine in that website, it cost 415 pesos, but CEM didn't ask it from me..... anyway, i'm still glad we ordered AOM/Cenomar, it can be useful in the future....

DOES ANY ONE IN THE PHILIPPINES NEED THIER ADVISORY TO MARRAIGE FOR ANYTHING, OR DOES THE AVERAGE FILIPINO EVEN KNOW IT EXISTS, I THINK ITS SOMETHING MADE UP TO PRODUCE INCOME FROM FILIPINOS LEAVING THE COUNTRY
