I had never heard of these cups before. I'm going to go educate myself.blueboom said:Yep, being comfy is a slight downside because all of a sudden after six hours I remember I'm bleeding lol.

Moonie is preoccupied with Mr Moon. He landed on moon day (valentines day) and moonie is still around just a little busy!blueboom said:And Moonie!!!
I know... I saw all this chatter and now I'm looking into it too... I also have been considering "family cloth" since switching over to cloth diapers. I just hate spending and waisting so much paper products and with my kids I almost always end up getting out my peri bottle when they are explosive or giving them a bath! Not to mention I'm pretty much just sick of the fact that my kids will stick the lose end of a brand new roll of TP and hold it between their fingers and see how much the toilet will suck down in one flush!amikety said:I had never heard of these cups before. Yeah they are working on not needing any diva cup for at least 9 months!Ms Malawi said:Moonie is preoccupied with Mr Moon. He landed on moon day (valentines day) and moonie is still around just a little busy!

I saw the moon cups while I was reading today and they both look about the same but I'm going to try the diva because it's made in Canada...goldenkagi said:The diva cup looks popular here. I will look into getting that one when I need to change my moon cup I am also an advocate of menstrual cups and cloth pads.I am all for eco positive periods!
Congrats on your exam Amikety!

haha... Yeah after having three kids there isn't much that grosses me out anymore!!! I think saving money was what really got me looking more into environmentally friendly stuff and the more I read the more freaked out I got about everything that is just in everything! The funny thing for me is that my husband either is ok with everything or hasn't really heard about it and once I tell him or show him he wants to go to the extreme! Don't even get me started on when I got him to watch Food Inc.!!!!lunas said:Surprisingly my husband had heard of it and he s okay with me getting one. He s also very curious. Ohhh congratulations on your test!!!!
Good night everybody. I'm in my cocoon now.
Hi guys! Now that we're talking about female bodily functions, I'm in! The cups sound interesting! I have always wanted to try them. Is it inconvenient to wash them out? Or you don't have to do that until the evening? I'm getting tired of the price of organic tampons ??? They're the only thing I will use. I hate, hate, hate pads. They smell and the thought of them makes me feel nauseous. And non-organic varieties get smelly. Hmm, a modern thinking Manila girl : I thought most of you ladies were pad fans ;D guess I thought wrong!goldenkagi said:Ditto on the yay's! I love my cup. It was life changing for me since I hated the feel of disposable pads. My only boo-boo is that I get minor leaks sometimes. I tend to forget to empty on time and it overflows. Can't help it, it's so comfy and I forget it's in there! Luckily I bought and use cloth pads now. No more disposable liners too I have ones from Party in My Pants and Just Fussy. Both are great!
Come and visit us!amikety said:I'm trying to study for my first exam. With renos going on. Lol.
We should go back to planning vacations. That was more fun. My husband wants to go to Victoria this summer and see whales.
