And? Which one?!amikety said:Indeed
The good news is my husband is home. So if there's any funny business going on, the swords will come flying. I should go ask which sword I get to use.
Here's hoping he either just leaves or you get to use your sword!!!amikety said:He said I can use the long sword since I'm taller. My husband is a shorty
They're still upstairs. Been asleep most of the day. Now having some style of loud converation about their boss. (He has a former roommate that is his sometimes roommate as well... not sure exactly how that works. The guy is parked illegally on our street and parking enforcement is due any time now. They check almost everyday in our neighborhood! The landlord hasn't called or stopped by. I'm beginning to wonder if he wants his rent.)
Are you serious?! OH MY WORD! A friend of mine was LIVID when she found out. She wasn't affected, but almost all her friends were. GRR.blueboom said:GRRRR I got a letter today about this:

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Amikety, have fun with the sword because it looks like your neighbour will need brutal force to get the idea!
OMG how annoying!blueboom said:GRRRR I got a letter today about this:

I like your landlord! I think you need to make this dude some cookies just for putting up with these idiots!amikety said:OMG how annoying!
Stupid is still upstairs. He called the landlord and begged to stay another month. He claims my husband was blocking the driveway and his moving truck left.
1 No truck ever showed up
2 My husband moved his truck at 4am to the back so it wouldn't be in the way. He gets up early.
The landlord told him no. Locks are changed Monday. Get out. Then called us to verify the story about the moving truck. My husband was practically rolling on the floor with laughter.
Btw, my neighbour slept all day instead of moving or packing.
Back when I was working, one of my specialized areas was information security...and among my clients were CIC, CSLP, CRA, and Service Canada. If I were to describe in detail the atrocious ways in which they managed data security, most people who care about such things would faint.parker24 said:Are you serious?! OH MY WORD! I sometimes hate government stuffs.
I believe it.tuyen said:Back when I was working, one of my specialized areas was information security...and among my clients were CIC, CSLP, CRA, and Service Canada. I cleaned up a LOT of their messes, and implemented a whole slew of new protocols which completely revamped the way they processed and stored personal information. There were, however, certain "managers", who felt insulted that I would DARE to criticize their operations, and pretty much ignored all of my recommendations. To protect my ass legally, AND to rub their faces in future events which I knew were coming, I wrote all the naysayers an official letter of protest prior to ending my contracts with them. In that letter, I said there was an absolute 100% probability that if things continue as they are, serious breaches of data will be coming within the very near future. Less than 5 months after I wrote that letter, the first such incident happened and became public knowledge. A few weeks later in a different branch of government, another similar incident happened, although that one was contained before it could get out into the news, but I found out about it because I still had friends on the inside.
Meanwhile, the three momos who refused to heed my warnings have since been fired after their bosses got word that they completely ignored the warnings of a security specialist that THEY hired specifically to PREVENT such incidents from happening. And here we are, years later, and this kind of sh*t is still going on.
And if you think THIS is bad...just wait until to see what's coming down the pipe in the next few years as all medical records go digital.
I'd would've been a lot happier if he'd followed the lease and given the guy 14 day notice back in September. Instead, he gave him a 3 month notice and extended it a month. Meanwhile, I've been sicker than a dog. Yeah, this landlord isn't my friend.parker24 said:I like your landlord! I think you need to make this dude some cookies just for putting up with these idiots!
