as what i understood, Implied status allows you to stay in canada even if your work permit is expired and your unemployed.But if your still employed in the employer stated in the expîred work permit you are still allowed to work untill a decision has been made in your APPLICATION.

That means that people who don't have valid work permit will not allowed to work any more?

jean1982 i think try to ask again.. you shouldn't be paying that amount if you sent your pr application before the expiration your current permit. for me it more sounds like you didn't enclose the owp work permit application or maybe the fee for it? can you think of anything that you may have done something different?

if you are still in the same employer thats in your wp even your wp is expired and your »PR still on process you are still allowed to work to that employer.

@yeah jean.. how much you paid is your total payment. i have paid 900. pr (principal) $550 . $150 for owp and $200 for my restoration (my case i disclosed an authorized work i did to one employer).

I payed 700$ for the application of owp and pr.

My work permit is expired 22 march 2011 and my work contract is finished july 2011.

I did ask them this.They are denying the fact that they are issuing an owp to all single applicants.they said its impossible for them to have the owp because cic is doing application receive up to april 3, 2010.
