well today is the BF day....you think they are putting in over time just to look at my file.... ha ha ha ha i cant even get them to look at during regular working hours, like they'll work on it for OT...ba ha ha

Well tomorrow brings the begining of a new work week, and new hopes for good things, be it good things with KG or just good things in our lives

hello everyone, i am new to the site but its been about a year now that i have sponsored my husband from JA and he has an interview tomorrow!! i am very nervouse i really cant wait to be with my husband as i can imagine most of u r in the same boat. but if anyone has any good pointers feel free to tell me and let me know.

Realy....welcome to the group, your are well into your process as i am sure you know, but it is never to late to seek info and support and this is a great place to do so. I think 2 or maybe three of our members have been through the interview process, so they may be able to ease your mind.
Could you give us a little more info on your file

well thanks it would be great to get a little extra support and information.
in regards to my file here is my timeline

i filed in may of 2009
got approved as a sponsor june 2009 and files were sent to kingston june 26
in october 2009 CIC was updated to IN PROCESS and my hubby recieved AOR letter
i e-mailed embassey around 2 times in january and march of 2010 as we were not hearing anything from them
and finally in april we checke the CIC site and he was requested an interview for May 17th, 2010.

so that brings me to now
i know that his medical and police check have been expired since february and we are waiting to see what happens tomorrow i think i am more nervous then my husband is but gotta remember to stay positive.. i have my fingers crossed, it would be lovely to know this waiting to be with my husband will be over!

Realy...Welcome ..to the forum family ...As for the interview i dont wanna get into something me and my spouse have not done yet ...But like MISSING said above there are 2 people who faced a interview on here they should be able to help ...

Have you ordered CAIPS notes...Do you know why they called for the interview ...Is there a age difference a possible relationship guiness issue?? OR ARC invloved...Like obviously thre is a reason they called for a interview ...Or do you know the reason???lol

Anyways stick around PLEASE because your timeline allows others who are facing similar situations to get a grasp on how KG (kingston) processes the more on our thread the better ...Although we have realised KG is more than eediot there and do what ever they want ..

Hellloooo ppls hope everyone had a great weekend. Hoping and praying for some answers for someone this week. Come on Kingston. Missing hopefully tomorrow they pick up the file and oh look send him home. Maple trusting in god you are ok.
I think myself its about time they let you and sassy's men come home. As for us we sit and wait. I wonder of I will get a email back since I sent one friday, not looking for anything but the regular. .

and no i havent went for the CAIPS notes at all
and we are 7 years apart i am 21 he is 28 in 2 weeks and no police record..

i have no idea why the interview was called for...am very nervous and desparate to know what is going on.
i hope everything goes well tho. all i no is that in the interview letter they sent to him told him to bring a detailed description typed out of how we met, original copies of birth and marriage cert. and copy of his phone bill and we have all that prepared as well as a lot of western union receipts, cards and pictures, plus my ticket showing that i will be going down next week and my last tickets, stubs etc.

maybe they are questioning how we met as we did meet through a friend and it was over the phone in december 2007. we got to know each other and then i went down to meet him in person and he asked me to marry him and i went down for a third time and we got married. i must also mention his parents live up here and his sister live up in canada i met them once so i have no idea why the interview was called for but hopefully we are prepared enough tomorrow to tackle this interview..

However I don't know if the age really makes that much of a difference because there is 8.5 years difference between me & hubby and we're just ended our wait after only a few months. I'm split on that idea... :-\

i still dont understand why the IO`s cant get anything done in /on government time.if they have a bad or dont like your name ,whatever reason ones file can be delayed

kmc... there are a bunch of us who have gotten thru under 6 months... if you scroll back a few pages you will see jammy's tracker... our file took under 5m, there were a few unique things about it (he was in the UK when applied, we had a son born the day after our application was filed) not sure if any of those factors led to them pushing our app thru a little faster (or on the other hand even slower than it could have been as there was more paperwork for the background checks and they requested our son's birth certificate during the process)... either way we were blessed to have a short wait and even more blessed as we were able to spend that wait together on the island...

welcome realyst.... good luck on the interview today... no idea why it was called... maybe just a random screen, or maybe something in the file flagged it? either way, just tell him to answer honestly and with faith that they are doing their jobs and making sure the relationship is genuine... hubby and i met online (sort of, turns out we distantly knew one another thru mutual friends) so i don't personally think a phone meeting is all that unusual or red flag... in these day and age more and more people are meeting "virtually" before meeting physically

naenae... i did point forms... (i think i might have physically removed the bullets and built a little sentance structure to seem a little less bullett-y, i write for a living and had i written a narrative it may have ended up a novel

need to run and get the girl ready for school... they are adjusting just fine back into canadian life.. it's a bit hard on my son because his school now only goes every other day (and every other friday), rather than every day.... which means he's home to drive us nuts at least twice a week... lol... but seriously he was doing so well in school down there.. did the best on his "exams" and was going to be the outstanding boy of his year... so i guess he's a little bored again and causing trouble to entertain himself... poor kid

just checking in. Hoping for some big updates this week

Really ... my hubby had an interview. He needed an ARC (authorization to return) as he had been deported. Generally there are 2 reasons for interviews - one (ARC) and they ask about your history. Why you entered the country as you did, why you didn't leave when required etc.

The 2nd is what I'm sure your man is going in for - and it's just general questions on background and relationship. Sometimes when they're not 100% sure - they want to ask questions to make certain that your relationship is 'genuine'. They asked my hubby some of these questions too. How and when we met, Where I work, when we were married - very very basic and nothing to worry about

Now, I've also heard that they do 'random' interviews. My girlfriend told me this (she works for cic). It's like a quality control exercise.

Really ...you will havew to let us know how the interview went ...By the sounds of your explanation it looks to be guiness issue...And more than likely the fact he has his parents and sisters here ...They probally want to iron out a few details about your guys meeting and marriage and what not ..I truly wish you the best of luck ...Make sure you let us know how it went okay ,,,

KMC - I was processed under 6 months. KG started processing our app Feb 1st and just approved on May 10th. ;D

There is no rhyme or reason to how they work.
