Thanks you guys,

i was so excited when he got a called so early for the BC, MC , I was like "yeah they are working fast" but nothing from February and it clearly states on KC voice mail, that they will not even respond to your inquiries, if they are within the timeline given....so ridiculous,

I just want to know whats going on, everything is just on hold right now, I am heading to Jamaica this JULY for our family reunion and was so hoping that he would be on the flight right next to me coming back. I would hate to go out there and have to leave them to come back this is going to be so hard for us....Can u imagine. so much plans on hold.........

Its not like we could go ahead and buy a ticket, we deserve the right to know whats going on.... has anyone who use their MP ever regret doing so because of backlash,,,,.. you know they may just decide to make you wait a bit longer because it seems you are forcing their hands...

I don't think I am there yet' but I was just wondering if its possible for the intervention to have a negative reaction...

thanks all!! :)

for what it's worth, we submitted these original mc and jamaican bc with our application and didn't get an early request for documents that many who didn't submit those did... we did get a request for our son's bc (he had been born the day after i submitted the application)... this was near the end of the processing, we got the call for passport pick up about 2 weeks later... all and all our app was with kingston for 4 months and 4 days... my husband spent a year and a half in london, had to submit police records from both jamaica and UK... but it wasn't detrimental to our application... i have suspicions that they sometimes coordinate with other governments, esp commonwealths.. (since my husband had background checks done for his UK visa, i suspect they may have leveraged this when processing our app... not sure, but it would explain why our app was cleared so quickly even tho there was technically more work to do)...

i think it also depends so much on the I/O you get personally... some are good, some are not so good...

good luck!!

You are right chelley, i do believe it depends on the IO. Anyhow we will just wait until they get to our file. Hoping for a positive reply any day now.

Good afternoon forum,

Welcome back to Canada Chelley..glad everything went smooth for you and the family :D

Welcome to the forum anxious....best place to be while "waiting" on KG....as for us ...we have been waiting and said all of those things...keeping our hopes up that soon it would be over and hubby would be with me...and yet so many things just do not makes sence to me...for example..the IO called my husband on December 2 to request our "selection certificates" issued from my province of Quebec for our file. My husband emailed them to the number she gave him that very same day she requested them...and I find out two weeks ago after emailing them in February inquiring about our file that they informed my MP they never received our "selection certificates", now to me...wouldn't you think that she could have picked up the phone AGAIN and called my hubby and request that he re fax them again as she does not have them on file as SHE requested from him?????.....but now 5 months later I find this out...and KG wonders why we are SO upset with them during this process...I am sorry but someone should be held accountable to some extent on how things are handled in that office. Do they really think we would want to hold up our own filing process????....All I want is my family together and life to be whole as it should be. We did everything they requested and yet it still doesn't seem like it is enough to stay within a proper timeline!!!! WHICH they say after receiving THEIR AOR letter "6 months"....so we sit and vex and wait some more....while we deal with everything alone and apart!!! ..... FAMILY...I don't think they know what that word means in KG !!!!! OK...just had to vent again..all better now..thanks Forum!!

Oh and ...what about this beautiful weather we are getting???....NOT!!!!!!

:D :-* :GOOD MORNING AND HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL YOU BEAUTIFUL MOMS :- :-* :D

thanks lonely,nae

happy mothers day to all

i was reading in your post lonely that the medical can be no more than 3 months when they get it.my hubby did his in november ,so does that mean he will HAVE to do them over ?If so when?

actually i was also checking stats it is actually a few days short of a year to the day my divorce was granted .i did not even remeber the event or the person(sad and to bad for him)

so you are trying to tell it may take 6 months or more to recieve an official acknnowledmnt letter fron kg?wtf

happy mothers day to all the mothers :)

it's a snowy one up here.. nice welcome for my hubby to canada (not!) he's seen/dealt with snow and has winter clothes from london, so he's not foreign to it.. but none of us are all that excited to see it (well, the kids are disappointed that there's not enough to play in... it's just a dusting... so i guess no one is happy with it?! :) )

kmc... i think the AOR takes about 2-3 weeks after the file is transfered... i don't think ours took any more than that... it reached the yard before hubby did, so it wasn't that long... (our file transfered Nov8 and he arrived Nov26 from UK)... however, like most things in jamaica, the postal service isn't a guarentee and not everyone receives an AOR :) do understand that it is just a form letter really, confirming kingston has the file and assigning a "B" number... if you don't receive the letter, do send an email or call the call centre and get the "B" number directly... that is the number KG uses to reference the file...

as far as the medical goes, if at any stage in the game it exceeds a year since it's been done, it must be redone... the visa given when pp request goes thru will expire at the same date the medical does... the police records i believe were what was discussed above... they should be no more than 3m old when KG receives them (so it's a good idea to make sure your application goes out shortly after they are received)... technically they can request it to be redone if it goes older than i think 6m, but it is rare that they do so and i suspect they only do this if the background check turns up something fishy...

hope everyone is having a good Sunday...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO YOU ALL!!! HOPE YOU ARE ALL HAVING A WONDERFUL DAY!!!!

WE ARE ALL BLESSED TO BE MOTHERS

Good morning all! Trying to keep up with all the posts. :D

Anxiouslywaiting, my timeline is about a month after yours and they requested Orig. Docs from us in March. So, welcome to "the waiting game". You've come to the right place for encouragement and lots of good jokes. ;) :o :P :-*

Enjoy your day all. Here's hoping KG puts their game face on this week. ;D

Chelley - Welcome home! ;D Glad to hear everyone made it home safely.

Good Monday Morning :D

Well just popping in to wish everyone a great week and I am still sitting here hoping once again for some updates during this second week in May. Really hope KG starts showing some sign of something real soon!! 8)

:o UPDATE :o Someone translate!

"Medical results have been received."

My God is an Awesome God! I don't care what it is it's an update.. But what doe sthat mean then?

My stomach is doing flip flops here! :D

This may mean that the end of our journey is close right????

Good morning,

Highlyflavoured - I can only compare it to our file for you. So here are our update timelines:

Submitted application - July 4th
the requested upfront medicals - August 11th

ecase updated 1st week of November "we started processing your application on October 28th".
ecase updated 1st week of December "Medical results received"
ecase updated Jan 7th "Interview scheduled"
ecase updated 1st week of April "decision made"

So for us it was approx 4 months from when ecase updated from medcals received to decision made BUT keep in mind we needed an interview and went through the ARC process. Yours is more straight forward.

I had this gut feeling from the get-go that our case would beat most timelines (and if you look at the others who need an ARC, ours was done in half the time or less). Why? because our IO seemed to update the system regularly so I just thought wow - maybe he/she is proactive. And it turned out true.

So I pray that is the case for you guys too! good luck :)
