Hi Sammystorm - the link above says to apply in person at the Ministry of National Security and then take the receipt to the Crimal Records Office on Duke Street.......the actual finger print is done at the local police station....(that's what I get from it or maybe I am missing something). This is what my hubby did when he got his done last year. I believe this is the "old fashioned way" that Nevahea was referring to.

The office on Duke Street is the main police station in Kingston. I have seen it a few times when I have been down there visiting my husband and he's pointed it out to me

Aww Ready love dat optimism u got and thanx for sticking around from ur lips to gods ears my dear am just thinking becaz the status says app received then noone is working on da file it would appear and there is no set pattern that kgn has in dealing with applications this definately is a joy ride process so jus gotta sit baq relax n wait our turn. It says on the website and the processing time begins when the app is received by immigration very contradicting information im stalking the ecas maybe i should not check it and maybe there will be changes lol

Just popping in to say hi! Tomorrow is a better day.. Kingston will be fresh and working.. no more holidays for a while (I hope). One day closer, one step further to our final destinations! Thankful for every little moment!

Thanks for your response LHNB! Can you please let me know where you got this information from? Is there somewhere I can reference it online? According to the CIC website we have to do it the old fashioned way through Kingston. :-*

This was the info stated in the letter my husband received to redo police record check. My husband also took the receipt to the station did his prints and paid for desired pick up time as Sammystorm mentioned.

Who stated that to give the process atleast one year now the one year should calculate from the date immigration in canada received or

Question - has anyone ever used the "case specific enquiry" method to send information to Kingston?

I need to report a change, but I am debating if I should use this method or just sent it via the regular email address.

yup i used it all the time - even just to email them to say 'remember meeeeeee" lol
