Hubby and I got married outside in January 2012 at Beaches Negril with about 40 guests. We stayed at the resort for two weeks and enjoyed our honeymoon with family and friends!!!! Then we spent the third week at hubby's home and ran around getting things done for immigration!

ohhh some days i wish i got married in Jamaica.....it was cold, cold, cold in January this year when we got married. LOL what day were you married? we were the 14th?

I've had better days. Something happened to my back at about 5am and I was awoken by the most excruciating pain; I thought I was going to pass out it hurt so badly. I eventually made my way to the chiropractor and he said it is my nerves and that it is all due to stress. You think????? I believe everyone on this forum is affected by the stress of this process!!!! Anyways, I can barely move and I have to ice my back for 40 minutes every hour. It looks like I'm going to have one exciting weekend!!!!!

Any exciting plans for the weekend?

January 18th - three years from the day we met!!! And it was hot, hot, hot!!!! I think it's nice that you got married during a Canadian winter - very magical and unique since it seems most brides choose a summer wedding.

This Family Class application was received by our office on 26 June 2012 after being forwarded by Case Processing Centre Mississauga. This application is currently pending initial review, after which we will contact the applicant directly to advise the outcome of the review and any next steps.

We are striving to make our processing of Family Class applications as efficient as possible. We continue our efforts to meet our commitment to a service standard of 6 months to finalization for at least 80% of cases for sponsored spouses, partners, and children. Processing times are calculated from the date the application is approved by Case Processing Centre Mississauga, after which it is sent to the visa office for further processing. For individual cases, actual processing times may vary depending on the complexity of the application and the number of new applications received by the visa office. However, due to an increase workload, changes in processing priorities and deceases in resources our processing times have been extended.

Applicants can check the status of their case on the CIC website by clicking on Client Application Status. For actual processing times of permanent resident applications in Kingston for the last 12 months refer to our website, www.jamaica.gc.ca, for more information about processing times.

Hi Maddants - thanks for sharing this. Wow this has got to be the longest most detailed letter I've ever heard of anyone receiving since being on this forum.

When I emailed them in August, they responded with a much shorter version that some others here have also received. They stated that my husband's application was in process and that he would be contacted in the next stage of processing. That's it, that's all so the one your wife received is much more elaborate.

Back pain is some wicked pain to have to deal with especially being awoken out of your sleep! It's easier said than done but try not to stress. Meditation and a nice warm bubble bath can help calm the nerves. I truly hope you feel better by tomorrow...

As for plans, I'm going to relax this weekend. It's getting hella cold out but would love to see that new Denzel movie "Flight"!!

if you read this part it seems like what we all believed was not right.....I always thought the processing time was from when the VO received it but here it says from the time it is approved by CPC Mississauga.....

I like that letter.. The website says add the two times together as they are consecutive.. So your letter gives us hope... Not to mention the 6 months they are trying to maintain..
