i know it must be rough waiting on the mail system but as long as you can sign into cic website and see those pretty little letters beside your name (decision made) you know that things good
i was informed that kgn recieved a bunch of applications yesterday and they are in the process of updating there files ..... so lets hope the info i got is correct and that our files are safely in the hands of kgn and being processed

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I was approved for sponsorship in October 2011. Since then notes on CIC site keep saying Application in process, medical received. My husbands medical expired June 28, 2012. Anyone apply around this time or just prior and have heard anything that can help me make it through the next however long. I have my MP calling down there every 4-6 weeks, the last she told me the case has been assigned to an immigration officer. Our paperwork is tight, he has a 17 year old who will be coming with him, we got his mother to sign and witness before a JP that she approved him immigrating, over 200 pictures were sent with the immigraion application of me and hubby (wedding, vacations, etc.). Since we met in 2009 I have taken over 16 trips to Jamaica to be with him and he came here to Canada and spent 5 months with me prior to us getting married. All of this was sent with the immigration application. Yet, I'm still waiting. Any advice at all would really help. God bless you all.

Hello and welcome, firstladyking! I hope you don't mind if I shorten that to FLK, that is a lot to type, plus I'm just lazy with screennames, LOL.

Anyways, let me welcome you and hope you stick and stay with the group as you make your way through this journey we all call Immigration. At the moment, there are some delays in processing, so basically the only thing I can tell you is hold tight, your day is coming but even a little bit slower than normal (we all know KG by now!). In the meantime, I suggest you keep making your preparations for your spouse to come join you, as when the process does hit high gear, time seems to fly by really quickly!

Tell me Charlie D, why did your process take 14 months? I see that from the time the application was sent to JA until the PR was granted that was 9 months, then another 2 months after that your spouse landed. Can you help me understand what you went through, I think it would really help. Do you know if having your MP inquire on your behalf is really a good thing or not?

Thanks RFMO. Trust me and I just got back Tuesday from another 5 day vacation in Ochi to be with my hubby. I can't wait for the day that God blesses me with that call from my husband that says they called him to bring in his passport. I don't know what I'd do with myself :'(

trust me if you were here a few weeks ago you probably would have told me to shut up with all the winning and complaing i was doing :-[
but this forum is great and the people here are super supportive ... we are kind of a little family in here and trust me they are full of knoweldege on this subject dont know what i would have done if i didn't find this place .....
