Why didn't they send a letter or email if they couldn't reach your hubby by phone to schedule an interview? Reading this is VERY disturbing!!!!! Thank goodness he didn't have to do an interview. GRRRRRRR!!!!!!! So all it takes to not have an interview is for them to make a mistake? I have never heard about someone showing up in Canada at your door unannounced but anything is possible!!! And it doesn't matter because you will be together!!!! I am sorry to hear your hubby had to go through this experience!!!

I don't know we really don't want to be living with a family member as her place is full now with her kids in Canada. He asked if he can change the address and she said no we have to be living there. I live with my mom and changed my address back to hers on my id as I wasn't staying there if hubby wasn't there. I know a mistake about an interview I was like wth. Doesn't it matter where we live as long as we're together. Should I be concerned? I don't think they have time to come an analysis my house to see if we're together go ask my mom she will tell you geez. What a day my emotions had the best of it.

this I know only happens when ur in a relationship for 2yrs or less, they give u a conditional visa where u have to live together for an additional 2yrs if not they can revoke ur visa.

Oh really how stupid is that I been with him since 2011. I been taking care of him and went to see him my marriage is 100% for love if it wasn't I wouldnt have married. I'm frustrated I just want immigration to be over with and I guess it won't be.

I think she was just being a bully! I highly doubt that someone is coming and checking if you guys together once he lands. She was probably pissed off about the interview mix up and just said that to be nasty!

Hi O&O,

There was an Asain couple in the Media, where the wife was being deported because she could not provide evidence that her husband resided with her after a drop in visit with Immigration. This was an inland application though. I am not sure if outland applications are subject to such drop in visits.

Well I just need to get a place but I need hubby's help I'm trying to go back to school.

Why would she even admit their incompetence?

Do they handle the fraud cases the same way? Oops! We meant to interview you but someone signed off on it so you're good to go!!!! (O&O I don't mean you and hubby).

I think they wanted to question him of his over stay. Then moving on to moving in together then our marriage. We were married almost 4 months then he went home. Who knows maybe it's all bs.

Well thank god they now have his passport now and why the heck didn't they call about the interview!!!

Immigration Canada can show up whenever they want within the first 2 years as you applied after October 25th 2012 and you have no kids together. Once the 2 years is up this won't happen. These are the new PR card rules.

They are doing this to make sure that you are living together as a couple and it was just for papers. Govt rules...gotta love them. Once the 2 years is up he gets his full PR card and he can't be deported after that....and I'm only saying this because these are the rules not because it will happen

Now keep checking ECAS for decision made!!!

Soon he will be singin I'll be home for Christmas!!

They called in aug I remember I posted hubby got 3 days of missed calls in aug while in school. They called by then in June when the lawyer got a mail requested rprf she said no interview is required it was waived so totally lost.

I'm happy they have his passport but worried they will refus him.
Kingston is a hot and miss.

Well thank you Sammy for the info I never knew they can turn up. We are not going to live there and she said we can't change the address one of us has to be there like damn people work. He sure will be looking for a job. We will be living with my mom till we get on our feet. Why do I have to still live at the address we used to file people do move.

wow I have never heard of that before! Funny thing about the interview though.....was just saying to someone else has things get messed up down there, like some had gotten someone elses email and file # etc....... but it worked in your favor!

Chickie I tell u Hun I'm lost speechless lawyer said it was waived from the letter. Oh they are sure backwards but I'm glad it worked out.
