Nev this is really breaking my heart about your file.


I'm a bit confused and was wondering if anyone or anyone you knew has been through this.Hubby went today to the embassy for 9am turned out to be 130pm so he waited around. Went inside officer brought him to a room took his passport, envelope, police clearance. She said he was suppose to do an interview they were calling in aug. She said the officer signed off the wrong form not to do an interview. He signed some papers didn't have to do another schedule a. Then she said immigration officer will be coming to the address we used to file to see if we're together once he lands in Canada. They will just show up they won't tell u their coming.

Well thank god they now have his passport now and why the heck didn't they call about the interview!!!

Immigration Canada can show up whenever they want within the first 2 years as you applied after October 25th 2012 and you have no kids together. Once the 2 years is up this won't happen. These are the new PR card rules.

They are doing this to make sure that you are living together as a couple and it was just for papers. Govt rules...gotta love them. Once the 2 years is up he gets his full PR card and he can't be deported after that....and I'm only saying this because these are the rules not because it will happen

This is for inland and Outland applications

Now keep checking ECAS for decision made!!!

Soon he will be singin I'll be home for Christmas!!

I read the same story. I believe it was inland. She couldn't provide a toothbrush for him. Said they sharerd one ! Either way , we called you in Aug??? Seriously ? We all know they hate picking up " unknown" #'s. How about following it up with a letter . No, that would make too much sense

Why would she even admit their incompetence?

Do they handle the fraud cases the same way? Oops! We meant to interview you but someone signed off on it so you're good to go!!!! (O&O I don't mean you and hubby).

O&o that sounds like absolute crap. In glad they took his passport and I hope they send it back to him ASAP!! I doubt they often drop in on couples so I wouldn't really worry about that. But even if they do, you don't have anything to hide.

If we don't hear anything by the end of the year, I feel like I will go absolutely crazy. I know there are lots of people waiting longer than us but I caaaaaaan't. I am done waiting. I wish there was something we could actually do to make things happen I feel like I'm going crazy inside. How can they do this to us!!! I get my notes on the 17th and I am praying there is some news!!!

wow I have never heard of that before! Funny thing about the interview though.....was just saying to someone else has things get messed up down there, like some had gotten someone elses email and file # etc....... but it worked in your favor!

ldl, it doesn't matter who has been waiting longer, do what you have to do, mama! Waiting any amount of time, especially over a year is nerve wracking. Like I said earlier today...paranoia sets in when we're left in the dark and our brain takes us to ugly places...I swear the stress of this process has taken at least a year off my life...no joke...

I always say the same thing! I wish I just KNEW SOMETHING, rather than knowin absolutely nothing!
