you're right, the flights are not too cheap these days. Next time I'm going all inclusive at a resort, the prices are cheap for June...it is less than what I'd pay for flight, food & room. I can't stay with hubby cause he lives with his dad, brother, and cousin...4 guys in 1 house with only 2 bedrooms. ??? absolutely NO privacy there!
so my countdown to bam bam is on lol 32 days!

jammy's has to be down to like 10 by now...where is that girl???

missing, jammy, rosemel, glo and anyone else who has been waiting so long...my heart goes out to you! stay strong, we have HF on the case to God. Her prayers worked for her and I'm sure they will work for you!

awwww... man - this is like a win lose situation geeez...BUMMER... one person feels real good cuz they get a speedy application process and many others feel vex cuz things na go so well for others.... sucks huh! Wish it was an even playing field but every case different....

so far our track record on this forum is 100% of approved applications.... just trying to shed some light - and switch up the mood... we might be a slow processing embassy but at least we dont deal with a 40% denial rate like others!

kc - 40% denial? wow that's crazy! must be Cuba lol I know someone that married a woman from Cuba and boy what a hell of a time they had getting permission for her to come to Canada and she can't stay permanently. Nothing like KG that's for sure!

so yes, let's be thankful for the 100% approval rate!

lcw - wow that's shameful that they did that to you and your family! they say right in the guide that putting families together is their priority but from what I read here sometimes it makes me wonder. It's very exciting when someone gets thru but at the same time its heartbreaking reading posts like rosemel's

china is past the 40% denial rate.. not sure what it is for cuba but a friend of mines friend.. yada yada yada is dealing with someone from Cuba and hear the horror stories from that embassy all the time.. not that kingston is a peice of cake by any means.. i hated kingston for the 7 months i dealt with them and really had no direct reason too, other than the fact that they are slow slow slow... but it was other people waiting months and months and months for a stinkin medical redo and other things like that that made me mad...

it comes like this with kingston - at least to me - if there is 1 single thing that can cause a delay in your file... wether it is need to medical re do because medical was done too soon or KG just sat on the pile too rarse long, need to do police clearnace, need to pay a fee, need to send in quebec selection certificates, need to do a police check in Canada, need to get letter from parent because of a child etc... Kingston is going to drag out your file and its going to take long.

To be honest... with the people who have been waiting long - and i dont want to upset anyone that is not my intention but most of the time there is a reason...... even if we dont concider it to be a legitimate reason or not...

BUT... there is a few people that their files are not going anywhere and there isnt really anything to support why it would take long...

lets use Jamwifey for example... she is vex that her file is taking a while now (with every reason to be vex)... the only reason why I could think that her file is taking longer is because she has a child who is not the child of the person sponsoring her.... Do i think its a good enough reason to take longer - NO! Maybe there is added steps for her daughter...? Who the rarse knows!

what about soanxiouswifey.... she is being sponsored, her husband is sponsoring her and her husband is the father of her child... what could make her case take long? Is it because she has left the country for longer than 6 months before? Maybe.. maybe not... is there additional background checks needed to be done etc... who knows... she did need medical re-do request also tho.

ok then we can say.. what about Chelle... she was sponsoring her husband, he lived in the UK before, they have children (grant it not on the sponsorship application - meaning not coming from jamaica), but they got through within 5 months... WHY ? (not at all trying to make it seem like you shouldnt have promise - you deserve it just as much as anyone else)

Was it the IO?

Then we have Glogirl... who has heard NOTHING on her file.... if there is a problem.. why can they not contact her or him and let them know what they need to do next.. do they need to wait a year to ask for a interview if thats the problem?

I dunno... i give up trying to analyze WHY? All i know is there must be a reason good enough or bad enough... wether its a Lazy IO, a medical re do request, a child on the application, someone living abroard, lost files, letters sent to applicants but never received, wrong information, missing information SOMTHING... there must be a reason....

if I should share the news "ONLY BECAUSE" I didn't want to hurt anyones feeling that has been waiting so long.

... but at the same time there are others whom it will give some hope too, those that just started their process.

the IO in KG are very much unpredictable, as I say before I don't want to be the only one sharing the good news
