Good night Forum,

Quick question regarding our spousal sponsorship (outland), I received a letter inviting me to continue our application with MIC. We recently sent out the application for Quebec, which means the Permanent Residency was now sent over to Kingston, Ja. We tried login to E-CAS to check the status on our application but unfortunately there is no information as of yet. Realistically how long will this process take, the Sponsorship letter was dated November 24. I understand it takes time (17 mths according to the site) but Im planning on heading up to Canada with our daughter before my husband arrives to get a few things ready but the issue is that we dont want to leave to early, so help any ideas on how's the Kingston office. One more quick one, does Quebec wait to start processing the application until they receive info regarding the Permanent Residency or do they just process it once they receive it.

this will give you an idea of all our time lines keep in mind though each case is different and there are a matter of factors that take in to consideration for your processing times
including the difficulty level of your application (i.e children, previous marriage, weather you spouce has ever left jamaica, age difference etc..... most though depends on which i.o your file lands on there desk ....... good luck

Hi everyone, can some please let me know how do i go about a letter from my husband babymother to give him permission to allow child to migrate. She doesn't know what to state in the letter and i have no clue. Help!! Thanks lots. My husband is solely responsible but didnt bother to go through courts since the mother allowed the child to live with him.

here is a break down of what i did
hope it helps


Dear sir/madame
I (mothers name),
mother of (child’s name)
hereby give her father (father’s name)
give him permission to take her out of the country to live
the permission is given on the basis that the child in question will be allowed to visit me her mother on Holidays and any other time which she is not in school. Also that she will be encouraged to keep regular phone contact with me.
With these terms I am ok with future arrangements.

Then I made 3 copies of this letter where the mother kept one I kept 2 and sent the original along with the application and also
Filled out the form mentioned by CHARLIED
had this sealed signed by a JP



Also get the mother to give you a photo copy of her picture i.d .. passport or national i.d ( government issued i.d is required )
