Applied visitor visa for my parents from india:
June 13 - Application submitted
June 15 - Biometrics request
June 20 - submitted biometrics
no update since then..
Based on the current timeline you will at least have to wait till next weekend.
Hi all, when applying on the new portal, do we need to fill and submit IMM5645e (Family Information) form? All the details in the form are filled out directly in the application on the portal - slightly confused, thanks!

I was told processing time for visiting parents to help take care of grandkids was faster, but until now I haven't got any luck yet.

My mom has traveled a lot and her travel history page was lengthy.
she's a permanent resident of Italy but she's Filipino, currently residing in Philippines.
Do you think these details are affecting the delay in the process?
I am desperate to have my mom here as both me and my husband are working and the kids don't have school. We are forced to put them to Day care/ youth camps for the whole day and is getting too expensive.

They took a month to update the biometrics in the portal? The time starts from when the biometrics is in the portal. Where are you applying from?
Yes, applied for the first time(fresh application). You mean from July 10th? India.

As far as I understand, they start once your file is complete, which is when they officially get biometrics. In the case of India, it's a processing time of 52 days, which is better than Brazil (71 days now).
Basically the end of August (21 days in July and 31 days in August).

They update it once a week. The last one being July 30th.
