Hi All,

Just an update. My wife's status got updated today. Everything completed except citizenship ceremony. Last update was in July when she completed her test.
I am still waiting for my status to be updated. I am done with background and test.

No don't worry. Check your status tracker. Should be updated within a week generally.

Just got an update on our application

App. Sent: June 2020
AOR: October 2020
Test: August 27, 2021
Citizenship Ceremony Started = October 7, 2021
Citizenship Ceremony Schedule = October 28, 2021

Could someone please update the info of our application on the excel sheet! Thanks and I hope everyone’s applications will get moving in a speedy way!

What a shit show going on ,Now people who applied in April2021 i repeat April 2021 just 6 months ago are set for oaths and people who applied years ago are being punished for applying citizenship grant! And above all some offices are sleeping completely they don’t give a s….So stressed and now GCMS not are not being given out so that we know where our applications are sitting!

Be careful, you are not suppose to speak ill of IRCC as some members here advertise: IRCC is perfect and fair (I assume they are spiers to IRCC and getting paid to say this stupid nonsense here). My applications has been close to 2 years, and I still haven't received the oath. Almighty IRCC has different calculations than us. They only think of their KPIs to appear performant. Hell with us, who cares about you, they say with their actions.

Folks, good news from us! my wife and I became Canadian Citizens on October 6, 2021. Below is our complete timeline for your reference.


Physical presence: 1100 days

Processing Office: IRCC Calgary

Application received: June 4th, 2020

AOR Received: November 9th, 2020

Processing on ECAS: December 15th, 2020

FP Request: April 26th, 2021

Background check completed: June 8th, 2021

Test invitation received: July 8th, 2021

Test date: July 19th, 2021

Urgent Request submitted: September 20th, 2021 (based on job offer)

Language skills, Physical presence & Prohibitions completed: September 27th, 2021

Decision Made: September 27th, 2021

Oath Ceremony “in progress”: September 29th, 2021

Oath invitation received: October 1st, 2021

Oath date: October 6th, 2021

Citizenship certificate received: October 8th, 2021

Update: On 09/15/2021 I received my invitation to complete my citizenship test - completed it 09/18/2021 - only Background Verification and and Citizenship Test in my tracker are complete.

Got a request to send in photocopies of passport (travel documents) on 24th Sept, which I have now sent on the 7th Oct.

Is this a normal request? They say they needed it for the physical presence bit.

I also received the passport scan request which I have submitted over the weekend.
Question: Now that my test is done, and passport sent, will the next step be decision made?
I guess I need to wait all sections to be noted Completed except the Oath in the tracker?
Prob' another 3 months Getting there !!
