Hi guys, do you know if when we write a webform message to CIC asking for an update, do they actually look into the file or just send an automated message back to us

Hi folks! I'm curious to know how much it has taken people from Test completed to DM/oath/completed? I completed my test in February and nothing has changed since. It may sound trivial, but I was hoping to get passport and all before spring 2023 because that's when my US visa expires and getting it from the country I am from is currently a mess, but also, I need it to travel to my own country...

Location: Ottawa
Application sent: Oct 30 2020 (paper)
AOR: March 10 2021
Background completed: Apr 21 2021
Scheduled for test: Feb 14 2022
Test shown as completed: March 4 2022
Language, physical presence, prohibitions, all in progress still

thanks for anything you can share, moreover from ottawa!

Unfortunately 2020 applications are taking a back seat to 2022 and 2021 applications (although maybe slightly ahead of 2019 applications due to IRCC's unfair LIFO treatment), and Ottawa is the slowest office, or at least one of the slowest, which is why you are waiting forever. However, a bunch of May-September-ish 2020 applicants from Ottawa got oath in the past month, so hopefully you will see movement soon. See the Ottawa thread:

1) Calling IRCC to know the status. The agent you get on the call can also send a reminder to the officer handling your file.
2) Take help from your local MP as they can contact IRCC to find the latest info about your application.

Thanks for the info! I've tried to call IRCC over the phone very early in the morning, but my call never got through, will try again

just called IRCC and the agent said the application is overdue for more than 2 months, so he sent a reminder to the office (Nova Scotia?) to escalate the application, don't know how long will it take to receive the ceremony notification but at least they acknowledged it's overdue and sent a reminder...

Hi folks

I want to share with you our progress. In February our applications were updated complete all less the oath and in the other tracking page the process chage the status to "Decision made".
The last week, we heard from them because we received two email one for me and the other for my old child, they asked for our fingerprint again whe the all steps are in complete status. We felt sad because we were waiting for our oath.

We think they lost our fingerprints. I don't know.
