Hi Rigley,

How many days have u accumulated before applying?

I accumulated 2085 days in the last six years. I have been a PR since 2005 and have only left Canada 5 times for a vacation since 2007.

OOW you were correct... I received an update on ecas today that my test date is Sep 01, 2016! ;D
No letter in the mail yet tho. It says on ecas that they sent it on Aug 17th so I guess I should wait a few days before I contact them.....

Congrats! Wait for your letter. eCAS is updated daily now...unlike before when update takes place Tuesdays.

Hi.
my little one back home passport is expired from last 15 month and I didn't renew it. Do I need to renew it before I apply for family citizenship. Any effect on his application or other family member application if I don't renew . Plz comment

It's not compulsory you renew before you apply. Just write letter to explain why you did not renew your passport...most likely you did not plan to travel. Even if you renew now, you will still need to write letter to explain the gap between the expiry date and renewal date.

Here are the answers to your questions.
1. The test invite was received by mail (Canadapost)
2. The test notice appeared on eCAS following day
3. On eCAS it will be like this "We sent you a notice on August 15, 2016 to appear and write the citizenship test on September 9, 2016 at 8:15 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us."

Hope the information helps.

Wish you all the success in your test

Hey everyone,
I finally received test invites for Sept 14th in Calgary. so happy. I have a few questions and hope people here might know.
1. Do i need to translate the entry and exit stamps in my passport?
2. I'm going for an out of country business trip for two weeks in Oct. I'm worried the oath ceremony might happen in that two weeks, is it possible to reschedule an oath ceremony?

Kaka and people who have taken the test, please keep me updated when you receive the oath invite, so I kinda have an idea on the timeline

Hi Guys, It has been 8 days now since i received my AOR email. i just checked the status, it still shows application received (Same status is showing since past 8 days). Is that ok? When can i expect my status to change to Application in progress?
Also I need one more clarification. When i filled the application, I went to WalMart to get pictures for the application. I asked them, do i need to sign on the back, the guy told me no. I even Showed my completed application to a immigration consultant, he also didn't told me that i need to sign the back of my pictures. I am afraid, Is that ok or not? can someone please clarify.
