Mine started processing March 17, got sent an interview / test appointment on April 11th for the 13th of May

Hey JigJig! I think I phrased my statement wrongly, I apologise :)

On ecas, my application shows that it started processing on March 17th. Then, on April 11th I got a letter from CIC(OTTAWA) INVITING me to a test and an interview scheduled for may 13th..

I don't know much about that test except to study the guide they give you. A friend of my brother just did his and he said it was really easy, and they told him immediately that he had passed the test! I'll let you know more once I get more info from him.

I can rate the test as easy. To be honest I didn't get them all right. My only goal is to pass the test. Some of the questions are bit tricky probably to test your English language proficiency. Just remember the relevant dates/persons/events. Don't stress yourself too much. Goodluck.

Hello,

I just wanted to share my times:

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on March 2, 2016.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on March 9, 2016.
We started processing your application on March 16, 2016.

We applied from Mississauga, and my husband was requested to do Finger prints. He did the FP on April 14th. No news yet.

Just did my citizenship test in Ottawa today.

I'll just review my timeline here. Applied in Dec 2015, the full application got sent back because there was a few months unaccounted for with my passports.(i just didnt renew it before it expired, only renewed after expiration and had to send it through the malaysian high com here) . Anyway, in March 2015 I reapplied, sending them the full application again this time with an explanation for the passport discrepancy.

on March 17th I got an acknowledgement email from CIC -Ottawa. Sometime in Mid April i got an invitation to do the test on the 13th of May(today)

Now, i can't disclose any info from the test itself but I can tell you that if you follow the study guide, you will do just fine. That can be downloaded online as an ebook, or viewed online, and they can even mail it to you, it's super easy. This resource from the public library helps as well.

make sure you have all the documents they ask for, 2 pieces of ID, your landing papers, and old/expired passports and your current one as well.

If you plan on driving, bring some change, the building parking lot was full so i had to use coins to pay at the lot across the street.

Just got invite for Test -June 14 (mail) no update in ecas :)
 
Passed the test today in scarborough. Test was easy... Went through the book once and the online practice test basically did it. Funny, the proctor kept telling the class to mind their own sheets 8) felt i was back in school 8)
