Congrats! Wait for your letter. eCAS is updated daily now...unlike before when update takes place Tuesdays.Rigly68 said:OOW you were correct... I received an update on ecas today that my test date is Sep 01, 2016! ;D
No letter in the mail yet tho. It says on ecas that they sent it on Aug 17th so I guess I should wait a few days before I contact them.....
It's not compulsory you renew before you apply. Just write letter to explain why you did not renew your passport...most likely you did not plan to travel. Even if you renew now, you will still need to write letter to explain the gap between the expiry date and renewal date.imran01 said:Hi.
my little one back home passport is expired from last 15 month and I didn't renew it. Do I need to renew it before I apply for family citizenship. Any effect on his application or other family member application if I don't renew . Plz comment
Thank you elie72. I will need all the luck as I have a little "test phobia"elie72 said:Thanks! And good luck in your test and in getting citizenship fast!

Here are the answers to your questions.oldfriend said:Hi,
Fellows who already have received the test invitation,
Would you please tell how the test invitation is supposed to be received? is it by email or by mail and when this will be shown on the Ecase and how ?
Thanks
Great answer, thank you very much dear OOW.OOW said:Here are the answers to your questions.
1. The test invite was received by mail (Canadapost)
2. The test notice appeared on eCAS following day
3. On eCAS it will be like this "We sent you a notice on August 15, 2016 to appear and write the citizenship test on September 9, 2016 at 8:15 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us."
Hope the information helps.
