During my 4 years in Canada I went to the US around 20 times. I came back same day on all my trips, only once I stayed for 2 days there. I had I think 2 stamps or 1. CIC had no problem with this at all.

Keep in mind I live on a border city so the CIC officer told me she goes to the US all the time too.

I am a future applicant who lives in a Border City Windsor. I commute to US every day since I work there. I have a house in Windsor and have completed close to 3 years in Windsor on PR. Will I be eligible to apply for Canadian Citizenship.

Will I be eligible to apply for Canadian Citizenship after 4 years. Does my working in US will make me not eligible. I come back every day and have not stayed for more than 12 hours any day and my I-94 would also show the same details. Please respond.

No, its 4 years out of 6 years residency. You have to wait for another year, unless the law changes.

Congratulations dudegujrat! It's good idea to fill out the Passport application forms and keep them ready. Then you just put the date and walkin to passport office. Cheers!

Hello Dudegujrat
I am not sure about your country's dual citizenship rules, but there are some countries that require notification before you take citizenship of another country or you risk losing your their Citizenship! So please consult your embassy asap! Congrats again on your well deserved successful completion of this milestone!

For your passport....it says after 48 hours (business hours) but you can try the next day. My oath was late Thursday afternoon and I was able to apply the next Monday morning...

Thanks a lot bro and congrats for your Oath invitation.
I am from India and India does not allow dual citizenship.

I think I should call them and get some information what needs to be done from my part

Thanks
