And Taffy i was looking at what CIC defines a common law relationship to be and they say it is a conjugal relationship within it self. could you shed some light for me please im really uneasy.

I looked in the May applicant threads and it looks like those people have just started receiving their AOR... so I'm guessing us June applicants won't get AOR/SA till mid-late July.

You are miss understanding it .It says you must live with your partner for 365 days without any interruption.It does not have to be in one country,but you must be together for the 365 days. If you have lived together at any point for the full 1 year you can change your application to commonlaw.

You are from Jamiaca there is no reason why you can't marry or your fiancee come live with you .You have joined the Jamiaca site where they have also described why you can't apply as conjugal .Its just the way Cic determines relationship.

Hi everyone!
just getting paranoid here. hehe! i checked the cic website under spousal applications forms and some of it were updated this month June 2014 such as Generic Application and Sponsor forms Agreement. I hope my papers will not be returned since i did not use the updated ones. I don't have any idea what specific day did they update the forms...

hoping and praying that they will still consider the forms that i used before they updated it.

June applicants have quite a long wait ahead since the CIC website just updated to processing applications receive May 1. It's also important to note, just because it says they started applications for a certain date, it doesn't mean they have finished processing applications received before this date. presently there are still april applicants waiting.

Hello everyone! I am a Canadian born citizen and have married a Swede. We have 2 boys (1 born in Canada, the other born in France) and have applied for my husband's PR card. We send the PR application off on May 29th and it was received on June 2nd. Medical exam is done and fees are paid - fingers crossed for a smooth and efficient process.

Just added our info to spreadsheet, hope I did it correctly. What a long process
