Kev1n, i remember it was updated in late may.. i don't know if you guys will have to resubmit that form, but CIC *sometimes* accepts the older version of the form if it didn't pass so-so much time since they updated it. i hope it won't affect you. good luck June applicants! still a lot to wait - CIC received ours may 9th and still no word from them, so we're in for a long wait.

Do you know when the form was updated we sent ours on the 3rd, we did not send the updated version. Wonder why they keep changing the forms.

Just wondering if anyone sent their application with form IMM 008 Generic Application Form for Canada that was not the June 2014 updated form? I had the previous form and sent my application on May 29 at the post office, went out for delivery June 2 and did not see that they had updated their IMM 008 form. A little worried now..

(Including multiple references to a "July" update, even though the forms currently available online are clearly dated 06-2014). I think there is good reason to suspect that the new IMM 0008 was not posted until mid-month, perhaps as a part of the last update to the website on June 16.

• One poster claims the pdf document code showed a creation date of May 28
• Another notes that the new form was locked and unprintable on June 16
• Another contacted CIC which claims they fixed the problem and unlocked the form on June 17

Perhaps a useful question would be to ask who amongst us actually submitted their application using the new June 2014 version of the forms?

To add to this: The current available form was just changed to 06-2014 from 07-2014 on 27 June 2014. I know this coz I took a screenshot and saved & dated it when they changed it on the CIC website again. It was once a 07-2014 from 17th June to 26th June

I am also June applicant & I swear when i was filling up the form on the 15th of June, it is still the older version and after i sent it on the 18th June to my husband to sign and all, it was when i found out the forms was updated to 07-2014 and then they changed to 06-2014.

Thanks for the additional information! I think it's safe to say that most of us probably used the "old" form (because that was all that was available to us at the time) and I will be surprised if it creates a problem for our applications. Only time will tell, however, so a healthy dose of patience is warranted. Gotta love this process......

Before I sent my application on June 10, I checked online that same day to make sure the forms hadn't been updated it. They hadn't, which means up until June 10 the old ones were still there.

I don't know if that helps.

I was just checking other 2014 threads and it seems that step 1 time of sponsorship approval is pretty much higher now. Its 2 months I mean peoples are getting approved after 2 months arrrgggg the pain of time is increased goshhhhhh what do you say guys....

It used to be 28 days wait time, but I'm not sure if it's because of the summer that It went up to 55 days!

next wave should be up to May 14th but I refresh the page every day and nothing changes! :-\

It should be updated tomorrow.
I think this time last year it was about 120 days, so we can't really complain. Just find something to pass the time!

seriously? wow! but on the other hand, several processing times for overseas VOs were lower , so it kinda compensated i suppose.

I had a review on last year spreadsheets of summer and I came to know applicants got their applications step 1 abroved almost within a month so I dont think that had been 120 days last year!!!

I guess it wasn't summertime then, but I do remember seeing 120 days at one point.

it depends on the visa office. remember, not all visa offices request passports at the end of the process (some request it at the beginning), and not all visa offices have the same time lines for process completion.

There is no updates for june AOR or SA because CIC is still processing may applications. My guess it will be another 2-4 weeks before june applicants start hearing anything.
