it depends on the visa office. remember, not all visa offices request passports at the end of the process (some request it at the beginning), and not all visa offices have the same time lines for process completion.

There is no updates for june AOR or SA because CIC is still processing may applications. My guess it will be another 2-4 weeks before june applicants start hearing anything.

Hi guys! I am glad that a thread for June 2014 applicants got started! It is comforting to have support and to support since the wait is nerve wracking!

I am a Canadian citizen sponsoring my wife, our visa office is through Abu Dhabi

We did our medical exam upfront on May 20, 2014

We sent our application on June 26, 2014 and it was received by the CIC officer on June 30, 2014!

Please add me to the spreadsheet, Thank you

Thanks for joining our little group, ynasef. I've added your information to our tracking spreadsheet. With any luck, some of us should start hearing from CIC near the end of the month.

Hi! I have a question. when do we start counting for 55 days? when our application received by CIC-M or when they start processing our applications? My application was received by CIC-M june 9 according to my tracking number. It is over a month now and CIC-M is only processing applications received May 16th.hmmmm

it's suppose to be from the date it was delivered. many people report waiting more than 55 days, so i'm not sure how reliable that number is.

another question and I hope you guys can help me. My hubby is only receiving disability pension or CPP and WCB due to his accident in the company he was working before. and Me? I am not working or no job here in my country and only living with my son who is working. I only depend on my son while I take care of him too in return. Now do I need a job here to prove to them that I am not gonna be useless when I get to Canada? There are lots of job there in Canada waiting for me to help with my hubby's daily expenses when I get there. I know it says that there is no minimum income required for the sponsor to sponsor me. Please advice me. thanks

It's posted today (14 July) their latest update as of 09 Jul 2014 -- CIC is processing apps received on 16 May 2014..

So if that's the trend, it will be like this as per below?

16th Jul -- will process apps received on 23rd May
23rd Jul -- will process apps received on 30th May
30th Jul -- will process apps received on 06th Jun
06th Aug --will process apps received on 13th Jun
13th Aug --will process apps received on 20th Jun
20th Aug -- will process apps received on 27th Jun
27th Aug -- will process apps received on 04th Jul

June Applicants may be processed last week of Jul through Aug... :)

Hopefully earlier :)

there is no income requirement for spousal sponsors. there are many sponsors who do not work who are found eligible to sponsor. The major financial concern for CIC seems to be whether the sponsor has used social welfare in the past 12 months prior to applying. The option C form the sponsor provides will show this information. A sponsor can not be drawing on welfare, and if they are they need to stop IMMEDIATELY and submit proof that they are no longer receiving benefits and are off any provencial list for welfare.

Thank you Mr rhcohen2014 I really appreciate thanks for informing.
Well I have more questions and it is..
I have the temporary permit to live and work in portugal and at the moment I dont have the job so I am now living in norway with my brother to accommodate my self and expenses and all that basically my sponsorship case is applied from Portugal and visa office is Paris. But when we did fill up forms I mentioned my living address of norway and postal is Portuguese address. So is it alright???
I mean does visa office will have any concern about this coz London office deals with Norwagians applicants I hope you guys have got my question what I really want to ask!!!!

Hello everyone!
I'm so happy to find this site to track our visa applications! I'm a Canadian living abroad with my Belgian partner and we've been living together for 1.5+ years. My partner is not the only one excited for her hopeful PR, I also cannot wait to return home (B.C.)!! The visa application was one of the most stressful things we have ever done and we are so happy it was sent by the end of June (received on June 30). We are really looking forward to positive results for us and everyone else who applied :)

i' say you are quite lucky to have your file transferred to paris. they are a speedy visa office, as applicants tend to land in 4-6 months. CIC is going to send the application where ever they see fit, no matter where the applicant wants it to be sent. There are obviously protocols we do not know about that determines where an application will go if the applicant is not currently residing in their home country. There are also visa offices that handles applications from multiple countries, so Paris is probably one of those. I do not work for CIC, so I can't tell you if this is "right". ANy information posted on this forum are "best guesses" based on past posts and experiences. My guess is, if CIC sent it to paris, there is a reason for this. Perhaps paris is the designated visa office for applications from portugal or norway.
