Looks like the CIC processing time chart hasn't been updated this week, but some of the late May applicants have received their SA. It won't be long before our thread sees more activity as we get our SAs and enter panic mode if it's delayed any more ! Keep your fingers crossed, everyone :)

I just noticed that my ecas is updated....FILE RECVD ON 5th August 2014.

hi I m monitoring this thread for a while. I was actually an April applicant. but I accidently filed inland instead of outland and withdrawn the file in june because I realised that in june. and now I have filed a brand new file and submitted it on June 23rd 2014.

please add me up into the spreadsheet. my details would be:

date applied: june 21st
date they recieved: june 23rd
medicals done: june 15th.

Since we are all applying outland, I am curious for those that will be flying to Canada once your PR is approved, will you be flying one-way? Are you considering a container to ship your items? I am in a situation where my partner and I will be flying one way, and have thankfully found a cheap airline during the months we hope to be approved. (I am alway searching online). We are on the fence about a container, though. Any advice? Thanks

In my case, fortunatly, I have enough filight mileage so I will use awards for one-way ticket ;D
One-way ticket is very expensive but there is another populer way, its round trip ticket and just abandon for return ticket.
I've never heard someone got any penalty from airline company... 8)
I don't have ton of goods like need to use container... just I will send goods by surface.
but I'm sure there is somebody who also will use container like you!!

Thanks. The more research I do, the more discouraged we are to even try with a container. Ultimately, it just seems more efficient to take the sentimental, non-replaceable items with us and use what I have (although not a lot!) still in Canada and purchase the rest once we've landed. You have mentioned that you will send goods by surface, sorry what exactly does that mean? I am really clueless in the transportation of goods topic, is it rather expensive? Maybe you could pm with more information? Sorry to bother...but I will be thankful for your response :)

By surface, means by land or sea, not by air...

Yes I mean by "sea", sorry I didn't write more details, thanks!

I think Sea surface is one of most cheepest way to send good to Canada, especially heavy goods.
Also it take a long time to arrive but just few months, so when I didn't hurry, I always used sea surface.
