Had to deal with CIC mistake in May 2015 - they omitted my son's middle name. Result was I was contacted by CIC stating medicals were not complete, but they were back in Feb. Sent email to address which solved the issue. I forwarded copies of my CEC application showing his middle name had been included in every document - just a mistake on their part.
Completed landing in Stewart BC, as we were already residing in northern BC under work permit. Had to get creative to find the local phone number to confirm they could do the landing. Local customs office ph numbers are not published in phone books (only 800 number - cannot reach a human). So I called Service BC in Stewart and spoke with a nice lady who actually remembered the number. Good experience. Arrived late Friday evening 7/3 and completed landing in ~ 1.5 hrs for me and 4 dependents, after crossing into Hyder AK and then turning around (typical flagpoling). Good thing as next day was July 4th a very busy day with visitors from neighboring Hyder keeping customs agents busy. Good experience with agents, professional and friendly.
Good luck to everyone still waiting. Stewart BC is an option for those living in the northern part of the province.
