Can you please tell how did you contact CIO and with what reference??toronto_dream2 said:I sent to CIO on 10 june recieved by GLEN and at that time website showig cap 976 till 23 june2011.so i understood i m within cap .then after one month i contacted CIO about my status of application .Yesterday they sent me email that we returnrd back aplication on 28 june2010 since cap of 1000 reached.i didnt yet recieved back my application .They sent by ordinary post.
I have just looked at the CIC website and it appears there is no more VO checklist as of 18th July, 2011 and there is a new application form altogether. I believe since this date, things have changed, hitherto one needed both CIO and VO checklists. Not any more, it appears. Otherwise, there would be a link for country specific instructions.....Mandiesilkymalik said:Hi Guys,

I AM JUNE2011 APLICANT. IT WAS TYPO ERROR.jijitipie said:hi are you on june 2010-june2011 applicant?
From your post, as of 14 November, the new Instruction Guide and the Document Checklist (IMM 5612) must be used. They are giving prospective applicants some time to digest this new information before it actually becomes effective on 14th Nov. Looking at your particular case, you have submitted your application in June, thus, this does not affect you....hope this is helpful....Mandiezeenat imran said:mandie its written Applications that are received by the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) on or after November 14, 2011 that have not been prepared using the updated Instruction Guide and the Document Checklist (IMM 5612), will be returned as incomplete.
does it means we have to follow the new list or this is for july 2011 applicants?
When sending CIO an initial enquiry about ur application, you need to include your Full name, date of birth, Country of Birth (and perhaps NOC). With this, they will send u an automatic response..and then 3-5 days later you get a personal one with your application number, which just indicates ur application is awaiting review. With this, you can check the status of your application. Send the query to: FSW-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca.sho78 said:Can you please tell how did you contact CIO and with what reference??

I filed my FSW1-NOC#1122 application on 1st July 2011. The application was received on 6th July 2011. I believe its currently undergoing Completness/Eligibility check.
I am claiming 70 points on my application with 5 points of adaptability as my Paternal Uncle is canadian citizen. i have provided his passport copy(as proof of status) & Telephone bill/Bank Statement copy(as proof of residency). However i was unable to provide the document(i.e birth certificate of my uncle & father) to prove Proof of Relationship. The document is not available, since birth registration was not there in 1960's in india & were only introduced after 1970's. The new checklist on cic website explicitly mentions to provide birth certificate of applicant father & uncle to trace their parents.
I did not provide this explanation while submitting the application. I just happen to know from CIC new checklist that an explanation is required if applicant is unable to provide certain required document.
Though i have already mailed(FSW‑Sydney‑Search‑Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca) them my circumstances, please can anyone suggest better approach ?
Without this 5 adaptability point my score will end up on 65 & hence rejection .
Pls help
Then wait for the decision now it depends over the Officer who is reviewing your file........he may instruct you to provide explanation or birth certificate when you file would be in Visa Office........lets hope for the best.......Mr Mak said:i did send the covering letter listing all the doc attached but didnt gave the explanation abt birth certificate, as i thought passport copy of my paternal uncle is more than enough (his full name mentioned).
Unfortunately, old checklist was not detailed enough as to what should be provided in case if u r claiming points on relatives(uncle). New checklist mentions that with example under Proof of Relationship section.
