Good morning all!

I wasn't able to find a thread for July 2019 Inland applicants so I figured I'd start one!

I'm from the UK (PA) and my husband is a Canadian citizen (Sponsor). We're also applying for an OWP at the same time. Hoping to send our application in the next week or two.

Good luck to all!

:)

Originally applied in April 2019 but my application got returned for incomplete application at the end of June and resubmitted and application received by IRCC July 2, 2019.

Fingers crossed! Pretty urgent as my PGWP is ending end of August. Was told I may need to apply to extend as a visitor. Hopefully this won't happen.

Good luck this time.
Out of curiosity, what part was incomplete? I'm worried mine will get sent back but fingers crossed I did it all correctly.

It was some signature instruction that was not clarified (i.e. if you send the application by paper, the signature has to be signed by hand, even though when you fill out the form on a computer, it doesn't allow you to validate the form before typing your name out in place of a signature by hand. Confusing instructions!). They regarded it as not signed.

It was a blessing in disguise as I caught a couple more mistakes in the end. I went to see an immigration consultant to review my application before resubmitting. Hopefully nothing else missing this time otherwise I'll have to put everything on hold and be stuck here, not working :(.

Just wanted to add this here for anyone new joining this thread as well! You can update your application status on the shared document:

Hey Guys,
In IMM 5533, what did you answer for question 5, are you including an open work permit application? I am sponsoring my spouse inland, but I am not including OWP forms in package since they made it online now recently. Confused

Hello everyone! Just joining here. We applied for spousal sponsorship, and envelope was received July 19th. A bit scared as we signed by hand and also put our names by hand next to signature. I hope it will not be returned because of that.
Fingers crossed!

Oh that's rough but not so bad that you get to look over everything again. I have my fingers crossed for you!

I'm not 100% sure but I chose the first box and sent an OWP application too, all on paper via a courier. If your main application is being done on paper I suggest doing your OWP on paper too and sending it all together.

Hello guys.

Has anybody been able to link their paper application to their online cic account? I have tried many times. I couldn't do so..
