Hi Guys,
Hope all are doing well. Planning to apply for outland spousal sponsorship asap. I'm PR and spouse in India got married last month. Want to know what documents I as a PR need to change in Canada or do you inform any authorities before applying? Google and ChatGPT says CRA and IRCC, is it mandatory? If yes, how you've informed both the authorities? It will be huge help if someone can explain.

As far as i know from my personal experience, you don't need any canadian document to show your relationship. Just get your wife's adhar card and passport updated with your name and address. Informing cra or ircc separately has nothing to do with your spousal sponsership application. You only need to update status to ircc if your own's pr application is in process. But if you got pr before marriage, you don't have to contact ircc. For CRA you can update online but it doesn't effect your application
