Two days after recieving my approval email, I still can not log into ECAS. I am using my family name (sponsor) the UCI by puting a - in the middle XXXX-XXXX. My date of birth and country of birth. Does not work. Also tried using the Immigration File number (FXXXXXXXXX), with the same personal information. Nothing. A bit worried.

On the other hand I have applied to the QUebec Ministry of Immigration now. They promiss to be done within 20 working days. We'll see how this goes.

Hey Lioha,

You have to give it a little time maybe 4 or 5 days. I would check on Friday and then Monday. ECAS is not that great even when you can log in. You end up checking it daily, waiting for the status to change........ it never does lol

CIC working on July 4th apps and processing time up to 70 days. Boy this is slow.....

it can take longer than two days.....do not worry you should be able to see by week's end..... the important thing is you have your approval!!

Hey Julyers! I'm from August but wanted to pop in and say I hope you're ready for some AORs and approvals because CIC is somewhere around applications received on July 4th =D The downside is that the time has been upped to 70 days, but that's only 4 days extra!

Looking forward to watching that spreadsheet fill up and get on with August haha Good luck everyone!

Sure is! I think we will hear from CIC in two weeks, minimum. (Assuming the processing time doesn't increase between now and then!)

I have a feeling we may have to wait slightly longer,as it appears most Sydney VO's receive approval by snail mail - meaning up to 3 weeks for the mail to be received!

Hope for the best, expect the worse

Hi guys and gals
I was able to get hold of CIC this morning (call centre). I have my UCI number but the agent indicated that there is no information on my case as yet. My app was received on July 9th. Obviously ECAS is not working for me either.

My observation of CIC procedures is as follows and please correct me if I'm mistaken. It seems that when an app arrives to CPC-M it is initially scanned by someone to ensure that there is enough there to proceed into the queue. If not, then it is sent back as in Charlize rai's case. Then it stays there until an officer assesses your particular case as per date given on the CIC website (ie. July 4th currently). It also seems that a few apps are done later in the month to bring the overall average processing time down.

Some of the posts that I had read indicated that if you made it past 30 days without hearing from CIC you were in the clear, but some recent cases in June indicate that you can still have your app sent back after 60-90 days. Which doesn't ease the nerves any less.

Any thoughts?
