Thread For applications Through SYDNEY (AUSTRALIA) Office

Hi Guys, If you are on a valid visa while in Canada (other than visitor status) than you should be able to land at an immigration office near you by making an appointment. If not, than you will have to re -enter Canada. My letter specifically indicated a valid TRV will suffice. Again, if you...

Hi Everyone, Just sharing my experience with you all. Once you get your PPR: If you have a passport from a visa exempt country (don't need a visa to travel to Canada) you can scan the photocopies of the passport and Appendix B. (this was my case) If you don't have a passport from a visa...

HI Yannie. LOL. I had to giggle with the scanned photos comment as well. UPS sent us an email indicating the package was delivered already. I think the letter said 5-10 working days to process. So its just a waiting game now. Good luck

Hi Vipasha Why don't you email your Visa Officer and request the list of documents they require and your File number. I wouldn't worry too much about your medical, if it expires you'll just have to do another one. I realise that it is time and money but not point worrying about something thats...

Oh BTW guys you can email the passports as a PDF scan. It will likely take you awhile to zip the file (reduce it) and then send. Also Appendix B can be scanned and then emailed. I also asked the visa officer to send an email verifying that the emails were received and that they were able to...

Thanks Can/Oz It does feel good especially because I was worried they did not waive our interview and there was a possibility of going to sydney after we just moved to Canada ahead of our PR. I'm thinking your husband will have to likely redo the medical. But there is a silver lining to that...

Hi Guys, Just got our PPR request tonight. So its almost over! Unfortunately, they asked for scanned passports, appendix B and ALSO more pictures. The pictures will slow things down as we have to courier them. The only reason I can think of for more pics is that we are over the 6 month mark...

Hi NZandCan Yes there is a spreadsheet for Sydney and its under "Rachiy's" signature. As for processing times......that seems to vary, but a rough idea is about 4-6 months for the majority of cases from when Sydney receives the application from CPC-M. Good Luck.

Hi Guys. Some positive news at last! Status changed to " In Process" as of January 14th. Still a bit nervous as they haven't sent any emails or correspondence telling us that the interview has been waived. Just wondering what other peoples experiences are? Did the "waived interview" email...

Hi Guys, Congrats to everyone who has had their COPR's and PPR's. It's been awhile since I've been online as we are now in Canada and so far the move has been pretty good. No issues at the border. Just a couple of questions after mentioning that PR is in process. He gave us a 6 month stamp...

Hi Can/Oz I can understand your frustration. Believe me it worries me that the possibility of dependants may slow the application down even after we have gone through the Courts and done everything by the law or the book so to speak. Again your situation with a 19 year old (age of majority)...
