How common is it to receive finger print requests (any general idea)?

Also, I have heard that biometrics are only required to be given once every 10 years. So if one has given their biometrics previously, then the IRCC won't ask for them again for the next 10 years.

Waiting for my ceremony from more than 2 months, everything else is completed on May 7. Anyone else waiting for ceremony only???

The biometrics given to IRCC for visa applications differ from the fingerprints requested for citizenship applications, even if you have given biometrics before you can be asked for fingerprints. Fingerprint requests are common but the majority don't get this request.

@OutOfScar I have some positive news to share from this morning, My BG is now marked complete. So Sydney IRCC seems to go against the data ( Positively)by marking BG within 2 weeks of FP.

Someone please update my data :
FP Request : June 26
FP Submitted : June 26 ( Seems RCMP mailed by FP on July 4th - I got this info by calling them).
BG Complete : July 12

its not actually.

he/she has been waiting for BG completion since April.
i am guessing, LPP was completed way back and they were waiting for BG verification to post the LPP. either or, its not quick.

I meant to say from Background completed to Oath.
Some people had to wait or are waiting a long time for Oath scheduling.
Some are stuck at LPP not completed.
Some 2023 applicants are still waiting.
So, 6 months for full application to be completed is not that bad.
