In the tracker, Is eligibility shown as completed only for the primary applicant or for both primary and dependent?
Not sure about others. In my case, eligibility is still in "not started" for my spouse (dependent). My GCkey got updated with everything pass, but PR tracker still shows eligibility "not started". I guess, since eligibility is primarily about the main applicant, it stays that way. I'm not 100% sure though. In the tracker, Is eligibility shown as completed only for the primary applicant or for both primary and dependent?
I called IRCC 10 days ago when eligibility and bgc was showing as not completed. They said our profile's security and bgc is completed and eligibility is pending. Not sure if they have a particular order to do the checks.@iSaidGoodDay since you are a PRO here, do you know if security starts only after eligibility pass? or there is no order like that.
Am reading folks asking similar questions and so wanted your thoughts.
Yeah, I have read many articles where same order of verification is mentioned. But going by the words of IRCC agent, Can't say what is actually the order followed by IRCCThanks @Ananya9101 ! Interesting, the trends am seeing is contrast to what @legalfalcon has here: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/january-2019-aor-join-here.603394/
where it says last stage is security
Thank you!! I think you are right about dependent's eligibilty. It will be updated only for the main applicantNot sure about others. Eligibilty and background updated as 'Completed' today on the tracker - March 16th.Received second ghost update today with no visible update
I'm not definitely sure that the trend isn't being followed. I'm seeing applicants for which one happened before the other and vice versa. For me both of them were "completed" on the same day.@iSaidGoodDay since you are a PRO here, do you know if security starts only after eligibility pass? or there is no order like that.

In my case, my GCkey says that I don't need medical, but in the tracker, it's marked as completed. Since the AOR last Jan 16, there's been no feedback or updates whatsoever. Just trying to make my mind forget that I have this PR application going but it's pretty hard not to be anxious about it, especially when I read updates from some of our batchmates. Well, for now, all we can really do is wait, and 2 mos is still short as per average. Hopefully, all of us can receive the golden email soon!In our case, it was old Medical from 2019 . On Tracker , PA's Medical shows "In Progress" whereas Spouse's Medical shows "Completed".
What does the tracker show for you? I have seen some other cases 3-4 months into the PR process even after RPRF payment with Medical "In Progress" so I guess we're not the only ones.
RFV/PPR letter on the way I guess for youEligibilty and background updated as 'Completed' today on the tracker - March 16th.
Got my passports stamped.CIC account/GCKey got updated with everything "pass" or "approved" today too.
I want to buy too. Are you paying cash? I have about 35% of the down payment. Is this enough you think? I might rent for a year tho to make sure I like the areaGot my passports stamped.
I might move to Canada by July. The reason I'm taking this time is that I'm considering to buy a home (vs renting). Here's my thread in housing for it if anyone is interested in exploring buying a home as an option too: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/newcomer-pr-mortgage-questions.791545/
TLDR of the thread: I almost have a mortgage pre-approval now. Will spend the next few months to look at homes and make an offer. Will close the property upon landing.
I'll stay active on the forum for a very long time after landing to share where I am. I guess it is very important to transparently share info with our fellow immigrants.
Wish you all a speedy processing!
Good luck with that and keep us updated on your journey ahead. I will be landing in September and my recent experience will be a lot useful to us. Wish you good luck with your life.Got my passports stamped.
