I would suggest getting it done as soon as you can. If you wait to do it, then that is that much more time that you have to wait for them to process it. Plus, you don't know when another lock down may come about to cause you issues. I read another poster that said they got the letter and finally got a plane ticket for some place that had testing open since his/her country had their center closed. They had the appointment, but then the country was shut down and he/she could not go to get the medical done and ran out of time despite the extension. Good luck. I am still waiting for SA and the requests myself.
I was going to say the same thing. The earlier the better. Your response time does affect your processing time. With Covid, places can decide to close at any time without explanation. Do not procrastinate if you have a choice. Good luck.

It would make since to have people working different shifts to prevent so many people being in the same place at the same time to reduce the possible spread of COVID. Also, they would need to have some with different shifts because of different time zones that they are working with. It is hard to collaborate with the other side of the world if the office is closed while the other is open.

It just says "
The Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) will be forwarded to a visa office for further
processing." it does not say where exactly.
I am tracking GC account regularly, what is ECAS? and how to check?
You can get to ECAS through this link: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?app=ecas&lang=en
It gives basically the same information. You can access it with either the sponsor's or PA's information and it gives several identification types to go through. I have gone through using my original receipt number and with my application number once I got it. It also has the ability to open it through the UCI numbers, PR Card number and much more. Good luck!

I still don't have an AOR yet. Application was received on Jan 18th. Should I start to get worried? Are there any indicators that the application might be returned back? For instance, a refund of the fees?

Don't start to worry just yet. There are people from June that have not received AOR1 yet. IRCC is all over the place with the order that they are processing applications. I think they are just going into a room and randomly grabbing from the piles and piles that have stacked up because of the pandemic. I would say, as far as indicators go, that getting your fees back is a good indicator that it is being sent back. I personally worried about this because I had a lot of outdated forms that I only learned about after submitting and mine got AOR1 (although that is as far as I got so far). You will just have to be patient with this craziness. Welcome to the group.

Finally got our application linked and it seems that we got AOR1 back in Jan 22nd, but only just received the email today. So looks like they really are all over the place.

Yesterday morning we thought our application was lost in the post, then since then we have had AOR1, biometrics, medical and SA all at once..

Today, IRCC tweeted they have added more staffs to support outland family class applications to reunite families faster.
Hence most of them are getting AOR in about 25 to 30 days from Jan,2021 onwards.
Lets hope they keep up the momentum and everyone gets PPR by first half of this year.

Guys quick question, I know that scanned signatures are accepted by the IRCC(federal), they tweeted that before. But what about the MICC(quebec immigration), do they accept scanned signatures for CSQ and undertaking applications ?

Hi! Has anyone received their AOR but no biometric or medical request? I've received my AOR last Feb 24 but I haven't gotten my biometrics and medical requests.

I haven't yet and my AOR was Feb 18th - Almost 3 weeks. UGG!! I am sure they scanned it in for someone for online viewing and they have tons to process. These people that get them all in the same day or within days of each other are so darn lucky. I agree this is frustrating. But I can't complain too much given what other applicants are going through. Still, the wait is driving me crazy.

Same situation. I got AOR Feb 25. I need to get SA so I can apply for CSQ.
