Thank you for the confirmation.
It's just an email right? Coz I vaguely remember reading somewhere there will be a pdf attachment.
But I don't see any in the email.
We received AOR1 with no pdf attachment, if my records are correct (and I did try to keep them complete).

AOR -Feb 14th
Biometrics request - March 1st
Biometrics done - March 4th
Medical Request - March 2nd
SA letter received - March 3rd
My spouse will try to book medical exam ASAP, can anybody tell what will be the next step, aprox. how much more time to get the final decision?
I am so jealous.... my AOR was just a few days behind yours and I am checking daily.... several times a day for the requests and SA..... This is so nerve-wracking and stressful.

What is the procedure now to book biometrics and how long is the wait time?

Here is the websites:
Canada information about biometrics: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/campaigns/biometrics/facts.html
Make an appointment: https://apps.canada.ca/login?redirect=/reservation?utm_campaign=not-applicable&utm_medium=vanity-url&utm_source=canada-ca_service-canada-appointment

It does say there are delays in some places and they are behind because of closures, so I would suggest you make your appointment soon. Good luck!

EDIT: the appointment link is for Service Canada locations. The link for information has a section for country specific instructions.

We thought our application had been lost in the post as we still haven't received delivery confirmation, but my partner has just received his biometrics request.

We don't seem to have any emails for AOR though, is this usually first?

Yes, it is usually first, but many people have received the biometrics reminder first lately. Also there may be an issue with your email. You can check what they have done on ECAS or try to link your application to GCKEY to see what it says on there,

Just today I received an email from IRCC Sydney that they have initiated a refund of $550 back. The email is as below.

This refers to the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class you submitted to this office on behalf of XXXX and family (if applicable).

A refund in the amount of $550 has been initiated. If you paid by credit card, it will be credited back to your credit card account. Otherwise, a cheque will be mailed to you at the address indicated above in approximately six weeks to eight weeks.

I paid $1685 in total for the PR application and I checked the fee calculator and turn out that I need to pay $1135. So, I am getting a refund of $550. Good that they opened my application. Any thoughts?

Application received: Feb 3rd
AOR received: Feb 25th
Linked my application in GC Key and ECAS
Good for you, $550 back in your pocket, put it to good use!!

It just says "
The Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) will be forwarded to a visa office for further
processing." it does not say where exactly.
I am tracking GC account regularly, what is ECAS? and how to check?
AmyL said:
ECAS and GCKEY are two separate things but can get you similar information. You can log into ECAS under either the sponsor or the PA using your receipt number, UCI, or App number and then your last name, date of birth, and place of birth. This is a good place to look if you have not linked your app to GCKEY because you should have a copy of your receipt from when you paid your fees. Info only shows up when they actually do something on the account though. On the sponsor's view, you can see the status of both the sponsor and the PA. It will give you a list of actions that have been taken and the date it was taken. On GCKEY, you can see actual communications and the progress of your app compared to the overall status.
This site: https://www.canpakspousal.com/home has some really good screen shots of these. It may be geared for Pakistan applicants, but most of the information is relevant, clearly outlined, and presented well.
