Feb 9 - Started working on the application. I'm now able to view status on ECAS using file # or sponsor's client ID

Congrats! Mine was received on January 26th. I will wait till EOD Saturday, if nothing comes in, I will call them on Monday.

Hey. Also a resident of la belle province here What's ur timeline? We got our aor feb 7. Waiting on sa. Do u get Quebec application kit at the same time as SA? Just curious.. and your hopes for the month of June are a bit too high, no? I'm hopping this year, not expecting too much

Hi art_nicolaenco! So nice to find someone else moving to Quebec! Here is my timeline:

Application mailed: Jan 07
Application received: Jan 17
AOR1: Feb 03
SA: Feb 07

I downloaded the quebec application kit from the quebec immigration website. In the SA I received, they said that we can go ahead and send the quebec application now that we have this letter, so we went ahead and filled it out and mailed it. For a spousal sponsorship, it was much more straight-forward to fill out than the one we sent to CIC, and only $277 extra.

We decided to move for July 1st, because that is the best day of the year to score a good apartment in Montreal. With the 6-month visitor visa my wife will have, that gives us until December, and if the sponsorship is still not processed by then we will explore a visitor visa extension (of course apply before the last minute!) It will also serve as a good proof that we will live there once the PR is granted

You should have your SA really any day now!

Hello guys, i just check my ecas (sponsor) and it says "desition made" but on mycic there is no notification of aproval but "currently reviewing" anyone has been in the same situation?

The MyCIC is for the PR not the sponsor. You should get an e-mail or letter letting you know the sponsor has been approved and the PR application has been forwarded to a visa office. Congrats!

You will see "In Progress" on MyCIC until the background check goes. This is the longest step and from what I've read by reading this forum is it basically goes from In Progress to Background Check to any interview (if applicable), to basically you get your approval...so the In Progress step can last months..

Last week, I was able to link my account to my application.

Today, I was able to access ECAS with this update:

Permanent Residence
1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 26, 2017.
2. Medical results have been received.

I assume I will get AOR1 by EOD Saturday at the latest....hoping!

Yeah I was not able to link it. No luck on checking ECAS either. Were you able to check yours on ECAS?
I wonder why we can't link it. Is anyone else having these issues?

I can check ECAS status using sponsor's or PA's UCI . But I can't link on MyCIC. I called CIC today and they said they do not handle technical issue. I have already submitted a technical report for 3 days. No updates yet. I would suggest you to do the same after a few linking tries.

I'm loosing my patience.. It's been ten days since we've got our AOR and we haven't received SA yet nor have I been able to link my account!!
What bothers me is that I forgot to attach my one of my extra sheets to my relationship application (It answers two questions only) and I don't know what to do

We received AOR1 on Saturday and linked the application to my account, and today I saw that "review of eligibility" changed from "not started" to "review in progress." Hopefully I'll receive SA this week!
