Hi have same timeline.. could you please tell me what SA email has ? I am confused between AOR1,2 SA, sponser approval and file transfer...

what is the sequence of these email.. what they mean... till now I have received and email with file number and my wife has received email of her UCI and file number.

AOR1 is acknowledgement that they recieved your application at CIC
SA is the next step as sponsor approval (I believe you they also confirm they will transfer your file to a certain Visa Office)
AOR2 is acknowledgement from the Visa Office itself they have recieved your file and will process.

I should have gotten an AOR1 on Jan 5 as that's when they opened my ecas. SA for me was approved on Jan 20. I was able to link my ecas and check on Jan 20 that said decision made (however I did not know for what). I never recieved ANY emails at all! I finally received a letter via Canada Post dated January 20 but didn't get until Feb 2 that I was approved as a sponsor and my file was transferred.

Hi All - called CIC today and got info that they are working on January 25 applications. So for those who have not received AOR yet where application was received by January 24, you may want to call them to follow up.

Thanks for this! Mine was received January 26th. I will wait till end of week and see if I get my AOR1.

Still haven't tried to link it yet. I'm going to try today. I tried to check Ecas using my receipt number but nothing came up.
I agree, it kind of sucks that they can't just send us an email. But we gotta understand that with what's going on in the US with the immigration ban, CIC is probably getting way more applications then they're used to. I hope we all get AOR soon!

Agreed! I would think it would be proactive though, to just send out emails- opposed to having people call and email all the time to follow-up. Awe well. I'm grateful I was able to link the application, so at least I can follow-up online updates. I just feel for those like you who are waiting in limbo. Fingers crossed emails start being sent soon!

My husband had to call and bug them to get the SA e-mail sent, twice. We saw a change on MyCIC that was indicative of sponsor approval (ECAS never has updated for that, even with DM on the PA side). That was back in late October, well before all the changes. I think sometimes their e-mail stuff is just hit and miss. We did receive AOR1, but it went to me rather than to the sponsor, which is how it was supposed to be at that time. My husband confirmed that they had his e-mail address correct and that stuff wasn't ending up in the spam folder. Everyone around us received sponsor approval e-mails in a timely fashion. Maybe their system just feeds off e-mails and that's why some go missing...sort of like socks in the dryer.

I have problem linking my application. I've already tried the method mentioned in the previous post, tried many combos but always fail.

My application was received on Jan 19. I received AOR1 on Feb 10. I have tried linking my app for 4 days but can't. Do you have the same issue? In the email from CIC, they mention "Link your application within seven calendar days from the day you receive this letter for faster processing times.". It has been 4 days already :-[

I am the sponsor. I created an account for my wife (PA) and tried to link with the info in the AOR1 (her UCI and Application Number). I also tried to link using all other combinations (Application#/UCI + Last Names, etc). The account is locked because I was trying so many times

Help!!! My applications was delivered to Missisauga on Jan. 16. I still haven't had an acknowledgement email and was not able to link my application using name/dob either. I'm beginning to worry if they actually receive the package or has it gone missing. Does anyone know their number or an email so i can ask if my application have been received? Many Thanks.

Today: sent the Quebec application package KIT A along with the SA letter!

Waiting: AOR2 & which VISA office it is transferred to.

We are still planning to move to Canada at the end of June. Hoping for a straight-forward application processing and later this year a smooth transition for my wife to go from visitor to PR

Hey. Also a resident of la belle province here What's ur timeline? We got our aor feb 7. Waiting on sa. Do u get Quebec application kit at the same time as SA? Just curious.. and your hopes for the month of June are a bit too high, no? I'm hopping this year, not expecting too much
