Hi,
I m currently permanent resident in canada.. My fiancee is in USA right nw..She is on B1 visa and currently applying for status change to student..we have plan to get religious marriage in nxt year January.. But we strong communication from march 2015 .. We have together photos that i visited to her .. Posted on fb.. I have all phone calls records..we considered to meet again April this year..
My question is that is it possible ? That we can do court marriage in USA.. And i apply for her !!
Or we have wait for nxt year !!

We got married beforehand in Canada just to make it legal so we could apply for PR then we had our real wedding later. I included a note explaining this with a copy of our wedding invitation. I expect they may request our wedding photos and such.

Thnx for replying ..the same thing i would be think to do i will attach all supporting letters frm her friends and family .. Will try give enough reason !!

I have one another question us it make any difference if i send my file to USA instead of my home country . Is it make any processing time difference ??

You would send all parts to Missisauga and after SA your file would transfer to Ottawa because she is from the states.

Not necessarily. She's on a B1 (i.e. temp resident). CIC may decide to send her file to Ottawa - or they may decide to send her file to the visa office responsible for her home country.

We did the same thing. Sent a few pics of the court ceremony, simple ones. And said we were having the real ceremony later. We had already planned that ceremony and so sent copies of the invitations etc. But yeah, I was thinking we may get a request for photos of that one, too.

I am currently studying in the US my husband is a Canadian citizen we just had our court wedding this month. My question is I was told I need to do biometrics before we send in the application, can someone please help me with guidelines. Much appreciated
