Hi have you called CIC before you received your OWP?? Thanks
Yes I called them but no clear answers on april 08 which is 4 months already and the call center agent just told me that it would not take long because it already pass the waiting process and it only state that it is on progress. But I have been approved already on April 04 so before I call CIC my OWP was approved already and I ask help to MP on my vicinity. Hope you just wait a while and ask your MP for help they are really helpful.Goodluck

Still having trouble logging into ECAS... the UCI number they gave me is 8 numbers no hyphen. Should i be entering it with a hyphen on ECAS (4 numbers - 4 numbers)? Should the last name being entered be my last name (sponsor) or my husbands (I decided to keep my last name the same after marriage)? Also, has anyone ever applied for a multiple entry visa (in Canada)? I'm trying to figure out how long this takes to process as CIC doesn't have a current processing time.

Thanks

I think you mean Oct and Nov 2014 inland apps? As they are now working on Jan-Feb 2015 apps. I noticed that too. Who knows how CIC works.

No, I meant Oct. and Nov. 2015. Now it seems that they are processing Oct. 2015 applications

Hello there,
I had applied on October 2015 and yesterday I finally got the AOR.
I agree with you that it is not fair but what can we do?! The only good news I have for you is that on my AOR the data mentioned is October 27th which is actually the same day they received my documents. So it may be probable that they just sent the email late.
In general I think you'd better not think about it too much and hope for the better to come.
Hi Kimiz,

Thank you for your news. I'm not sure if they would "cut our applications" inline to those who applied after us. Otherwise we are way behind those lucky ones...

No,they aren't? The spread sheet shows they are processing the end of 2014 apps and beginning of 2015 apps :)
Unless you applied outland...?

Must be talking about receiving AOR...which doesn't really say much, except that CIC has officially received the application and then threw it onto the pile...not to be seen again for ~ 17 months. ;)

Is the Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP) required to be included in the application if the spouse sponsored is the sole applicant?

Just to share some happiness here.
Requested my GCMS notes on March 10. Then, out of nowhere SA on March 17 and DM on March 18.

So I requested another set of my GCMS notes being curious and all what would be in them after DM.
Didnt receive my notes from either request so decided to call the call center today. Not only did I "magically" receive my notes of my March 18 request while still on the phone, but the agent also told me that a landing interview letter was sent out by Montréal office via snail mail (even though all correspondence had been sent by email previously) and that my landing date will be May 03, 2016.

Yaaaaay!!! :D I also saw in my notes the questions they will ask me while at the landing so that's nice to know in advance. Unfortunately they listed my date of first entry into Canada wrong on my yet to receive COPR, so I told the agent and he said he had sent a message to the GCMS team to get it adjusted hoping that it won't be wrong when I receive the document. However he also told me no guarantees and if it's wrong at the landing I would then need to apply for an amendment of my document. In other words, more waiting.... :p

Anyway for now I only have my landing left on May 03 and my boss was nice enough to give me the day off, paid and all :D Best of luck to all of you out there waiting for the good news to arrive!

Hi all,
I can say I am the “dual-victim” in the 2015 group.
- Victim of those who submitted OWP but missing the “notorious” $100 OWP Holder Fee;
- Victim of those who submitted PR app in Oct/Nov and suffering the belated progress.

For my OWP app thank god I got a positive news from the CIC call centre today that my OWP has been approved and mailed to me on last Thursday (Apr 14).

But for my PR app, the agent insisted that CIC still working on files Sep 28 so nothing he can update me. Anyway I know some of our “October victims” here start getting AOR so mine will be arriving soon.

Here I would like to share how I make up my OWP fee mistake:

My package were received by Mississauga on Nov 16, 2015.
I realized the missing $100 in December so I paid it right away.
(If they really return my OWP app I’ll lose status.)

I submitted a Case-Specific-Enquiry in Dec 22, but 17 days later they replied they can’t locate my application.
I think they haven’t recorded my file to the system at that time, so I assume I have to re-submit it again at some time literally AFTER Mississauga record my file and BEFORE Vegreville return my OWP app.

In February when some of the November applicants shared here they had received OWP, I tried my second attempt Case-Specific-Enquiry.
I submitted on Feb 25, then wait wait wait…
I finally got respond from Mississauga in Apr 4, asking me my PR receipts to locate my file.
I replied the same day… and as I mentioned they approved my OWP on Apr 14.

Personally my experience is:
I didn’t resend any paper packages, just by submitting a case-specific-enquiry.
If you have file # that’s easy, if you don’t, include all payment receipt numbers along with your personal info.
The timing is important, wait till you get the feedback before sending the enquiry again.
Send the enquiry to Mississauga (even it’s for OWP application).

Hope these help.

Thank you
