You can be denied only if your health condition is likely to be a danger to public health/safety.xxxma3dl said:Hi all!
Has there been a situation where the PR application was denied because something was wrong from the medical results?
Just nervous lol thanks!
Thanks Sophieee! About to have my medical this week, never been to a doctor since I came to Canada. My body's been under so many adjustments with the weather and just the environment in general, so I hope I'm not sick of anything I'm not aware ofsophieee said:You can be denied only if your health condition is likely to be a danger to public health/safety.
As a member of the family class you cannot be denied on the grounds that your condition might cause excessive demand on health or social services.
I believe the reason there is no expedite option for new PR cards is because there's nothing to expedite.screech339 said:How can you expedite your first PR card without paying any extra fees for it at landing? CIC agents at landing has never accepted any extra fees for expediting your PR card. If this was available, every PR applicants landing will be paying to expedite their PR cards, especially those who plan to leave shortly after landing. I know I would pay the extra fees so my wife would get her PR card sooner.

We have not received a 'decision made' yet.Ponga said:Seems odd for CIC to request this after DM.
Ooops. Sorry about that.Toronto84 said:We have not received a 'decision made' yet.
But we did receive a letter stating "It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence" along with a request for a police certificate.
We recently submitted the police certificate.
What was the deadline to submit the PCC on the letter that was emailed to you? You shouldn't expect to hear anything until that date has passed...and then some.Toronto84 said:We have not received the landing letter yet, but we wanted to make sure we are prepared for the landing interview. Does anyone know of the exact size of the pictures for the applicant?
Thanks!
It's odd, it seems September/October 2014 applicants were skipped ahead for some reason, the community spreadsheet seems to reflect this too.om00 said:Hi All,

Well maybe not "odd", I've just been following the online spreadsheet and most Sept/October applicants were processed ahead of June/July/August applicants. It's nice to see people getting their PR, just curious why they skipped ahead. They haven't even started July yet but most Sept/Oct ones are done.om00 said:I don't think so.
My case is not odd just normal because when I applied PR, it took 16-17 months on the CIC website.
