Ok, good to know. The process is a little different in Ontario though, medical isn't possible until AIP stage I think, and as the agent said, my apllication inst being processed, it's just confirmed as received, but I'm happy nevertheless, who knows processing times can speeeden up,,,

It also helps some people qualify for medical coverage (e.g., here in BC where they want something "in writing" from CIC showing the application is in process).

Precisely. I'm preparing the application for medical coverage now as I have AOR now. Besides, I mailed my application via regular mail so there was no delivery confirmation that it actually arrived at CIC-M until now.

Received AOR email last night. Application received on May 20th. We've been nervous since we mailed it through Canada Post regular mail so do don't have any confirmation that it was delivered successfully. What a relief.

I'm the applicant. My sponsor hasn't received anything.

I got my AOR yesterday.. App received on May 2end.
I will try to play the guessing game;
1- App received before March took more than 100 days to receive AOR
2- App received after March took less than 100 days to receive AOR
3- I updated my home address about two month ago but it wasnt updated in my AOR yet.
I am concluding that AOR are gathered since application received by CIC but for some reasons they dnt send it to us.. instead they wait for sometime or even for long time be4 they start emailing us those AORS and same happen for AIPS

Looks like it. I mailed out my application on May 12. It was received on May 20, according to the AOR.

Hey guys, just a quick question. What means AOR? Is it something about the confirmation of received process?

I`m really worried about my process, because i sent the package to mississauga on february 20th and i don`t have any news about my process until now. Is there anyone in the same situation?

Does this mean that my part of the job is done? And that they have verified that all my forms were in place and hence won't send the application back?

I sent my application to Mississauga on June 10 2014 and they received it on June 11 2014.

congratulations! i think it means that you did not miss any forms, but it doesnt mean that all the forms are complete. for me, a couple monhs after receiving AOR, cic contacted me and asked me to fill one of the forms again (i had not provided 10 years of previous addresses, it was about 9 years). i believe it means they wont send your application back, but they will double check the completeness of the forms later (according to my personal experience)
