Hey guys,
Please keep me posted on what they say.
If you read my last post, I was told it'd be a while yet (AIP) before we can apply for csq etc. Therefore no access to french classes/insurance for even longer.
By the time they realise they need to send us our request letter, it'll probably take another month or so more for QC to then process & send to CIC, in comparison to those outside QC.
It just means more delay for Quebec residents, despite the extra money we have to pay for CSQ.
Thanks for your info.. I think we should keep calling them frequently till someone can confirm us about what is going on.

I checked today my Applacitian status on line I was using my UCI # and finally ;D showing that they are received my application but I never received email from them, when I call them they said that email was send to me but there is no email I check few times spam, junk, inbox nothing was there. I ask them for AOR # but CIC lady told me that they can't resend again!? I guess UCI is my AOR? ::)
Exact same thing with me. I was finally able to log into the ecas system and called CIC. The call agent told me that they sent me the AOR by email on August the 1st. I told him I didn't receive anything at all and check even my junk mail several times a day, but he told me that they can't resend it and gave me my own sponsor UCI#. Regardless - I am so relieved and happy!!! At least I know that they officially have it!

Can someone please help with generic inland app IMM0008 #10 "Current Country of Residence" question? If I'm a US citizen and I'm currently in Canada with my husband do I answer my current country of residency is Canada? And what would I put under "Status", a "visitor" or "other"?

Can principal applicant pay the application fee with his/her credit card? I asked because someone posted here that the name of the payer, DOB, UCI, ADDRESS, need to be on the receipt. My sponsor is a Canadian citizen with no UCI. So are we to leave the uci section blank or i should use my credit card to pay since i have all the information being requested for.
Thanks all

Zemphir, I have extended my visitor status by getting an extension for 1 year so per our consultant I put the date that extension expires which is next April. I had been here in Canada for a couple months then went to the states for a week then back here and when we were near the 6 months from the second time I came in we got the extension. I had no problems getting the extension we sent with it a letter from my husband stating he had been supporting me for nearly 6 months and that we were near ready to send in our applications for my PR.

It doesn't matter whose credit card are you using, after printing the receipt you have to write the applicant's data by hand to the receipt.

Same thing happened to me. I'm january applicant, I didn't receive any AOR by email, On april, I called an agent who told me that They sent me the AOR, I answered that I didn't recceive anything from CIC so I asked her if CIC could send it by mail and the answer was positive, a week later i received my AOR by mail.

Oh, I see.
And do you know if it's also possible to send in the application with visitor status and put the dates of 1 year extension before actually getting the extension itself?
How long did it take you to get the extension after you applied for it?

Thanks for all your help, CMLR!
