Category: Family/Spouse
Visa Office: Vegreville... but it has been sent to Mississauga now
Application Submitted: October, 2013
Application Received: November, 2013
Visitor visa: Extended for 2 years (we were shocked that they gave him one for that long)
Medical: done
IRS clearance: done
Fee: Paid

When did you get the AOR? If it was in 2013, I think you are a better fit with the 2013 applicants. Here are their forum:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/inland-applications-2013-t129064.9555.html
And you need to send a personal message to guri to be added:

It's good to hear you have got visa extension for 2 years! But hopefully you won't need it for that long:)

Hi guys, so I have a couple of quedtions that I hope someone can shed some light on please:)

My situation:

In Canada Spousal Sponsorship
First stage approval received
Open Work permit received
Just waiting on police clearance from Namibia then a discision should hopefully be made
and I will have to attend the LANDED IMMIGRANT INTERVIEW.

My question :

Does my wife (my sponsor) definitely have to attend this interview? She has a job offer for a
2month teaching job in the UK and we are afraid these 2 events might happen at the same time.
Is there a way she can not attend the interview? Perhaps an declaration of some sort or an affidavit?

Thank you

BTW I'm also from Hungary:), and AFAIK the police check need to be valid when they receive your application, so I think it's won't be a problem. But in the worst-case scenario you can get a new one in 3 weeks (with a little help from a Hungarian family member). And you don't need RCMP police check, unless they ask it, but it's not common.

I know that it's very though not able to be working. I started working a couple weeks ago as a volunteer, it won't help us financially, but at least my mood is better:)

Hi Sophie! Could you add me to the 2014 sheet too?

Username: alicia13
Visa office: Mississauga
Country of Origin: Ireland
Canadian City of Residence: Toronto
Date Application Submitted: Feb 9th, 2014
Date Application Received: Feb 11th, 2014
AOR: not yet...
OWP sent: sent with app
Medical done: not done (pregnant)
Police check done: sent with app

Thank you!

Everyone has a really hard time because of the waiting and the unpredictability, I bet that all of us get annoyed and angry much more easily than usual (I am, that's for sure), but pick at each other doesn't do any good.
