Congrats Sincey!!

Hey guys,

so I called CIC as well, and they told me new applicants should follow the same procedure as before (i.e. inland app + owp app) and send it to Mississauga.

And the reason for the change to Mississauga office was that the 'Sauga office does the outland apps, so they figured to just keep everything together.

For people now sending applications, might be good idea to call CIC and confirm before sending, that's what we did!

We sent ours in, Mississauga office received it today, and now we are officially part of the waiting game!

Hello! Thank you for the info!

But I am still confused. I just realized the Form changed, so just to be sure: Should I send my OWP + PR Application together to CPC Mississauga?

Which phone number can I contact them before submitting my application?

Thank you!

Hmmm...I thought that Inland applicants could no longer submit OWP with their applications and now had to wait for AIP before they can submit OWP.

As far as I am aware, this is correct. You can't submit an OWP application with the PR application any longer. The "implied status" loophole is now closed. See this thread. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/new-sponsorship-rules-canada-makes-it-even-harder-for-us-t182180.0.html

Yeah, they updated the information on the CIC website on 15 Jan (regarding the new mailing address for Inland applications) and then again on 21 Jan regarding the OWP change.

I would like to verify something......

My application was received on January 9th 2014 at Vegreville. No AOR yet.

If I need to send additional docs, do I sent it to Vegreville still with these new rules?

I just want to make sure and not assume anything at this point.

It's too soon for your AOR. Most people say that it takes about a month.

Once you have it, you will have your file number and the UCI number for the SPONSOR. This will allow you to include this information on any additional docs, so that they can be matched up with your file.

I believe that the additional docs would still go to Vegreville (but a different address), but you might want to wait for more `opinions'. :)
