Congratulations jmarie88 - that's fantastic news!

We just did our first medical unsolicited in hopes of beating the request so we can get a DM quicker.

Not sure if anyone can help with either of the 2 questions I have but if so, that'd be great!

1 - how long after doing your medical did you see it marked as 'medical recieved' on the e-cas? Note, they told us they could send it electronically.

2 - for our chest xray, the doctor who read it said there were no problems except a 'mild prominence of the left pulmonary artery' - now the medical doctor said the it shouldn't matter to CIC (said most would have read it as normal, we just got bad luck with this over cautious doctor... I think this whole CIC process has been bad luck, especially being a November applicant), BUT the xray doctor said on the results that another chest xray is suggested in 3 months. Has anyone had something similar? If so, will they hold back our application for another 3 months until that next xray?

Hi Guys,

I got my medical request today (Dec 9th Application received) from CIC and my spouse received an email saying he met all the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor.

I am going to do my medical tomorrow.

Any idea what will be the next step? and how much more time it should take?

Not trying to argue, just trying to clear up why you may have taken her posts the wrong way and kinda stand to Ponga's defense a little.

But in the end, we're all here for the same reason... let's just get along!

Bleh, CIC just updated their processing times and according to the sheet they are still stuck on Oct 21, 2013. I don't understand how they could have skipped the end of October and November, be processing applications in December, and yet report being on the same day as last week!

Hi there everyone!

So I got my AIP today (Or I assume it is considering it says "It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements" and requesting a medical exam now)

I am confused by this though, and I saw people ask about this before but I can't find the answers now.
One document stated I have three months to respond, but the medical document states I have 30 days to respond... which one is accurate?

The medical center I was planning to go too cannot take me this month, so if it is 30 days, I will need to find another place.


Also.... not sure if I am a 2013 or 2014 applicant, considering I send my documents in December 2013, but it was stated as received in January 2014.
