This begs the question: Why are we being fed complete garbage?

Why is there no reasonable communication coming out of CIC?
My MP's office gets in touch with them every month or so, and even they just get incomplete, incorrect, useless information.

Why would anyone be telling *anyone* that they're concentrating on issuing OWP's so they can't be bothered to do it in order?
What if someone said that in an interview? Isn't this trivial?
Isn't it equally ridiculous to say "We have stopped using lights in our offices, as turning them on uses time we'd rater devote to issuing OWP's" ?

Clearly not enough of us are issuing complaints. If no one complains it simply "ain't broke" and no one is going to "fix it".

It just seems like there is no system in place at all at CIC. The call centre has no training system, the agents processing files have no system..and so on. It's quite sad and disappointing that a government run agency is so run so poorly.
Complaints seem to be swept under the rug..

Hey RRSweet, I was going to ask the same thing. Checking the spreadsheet. MiriMinBC got PR/Landed on Nov 6, 2014. so.. 84 days to today.

If they keep taking longer than a week to process a week of applications they're still in the red.

Honestly, i would just be happy if they could keep pace- so every Monday the website would move forward 7 days...

When it takes like 2 weeks to move forward 2 days..thats just unacceptable...

Really!!! Thanks for letting me know. I don't really do the whole Facebook thing. Website says Sept 9th, so if someone from Sept 12th indeed got AIP, thats pretty cool.

We didnt get asked to send in any more supporting documents (redo meds - even though they have for sure expired, police certificates, proof of relationship) so i am really really hoping that we'll get AIP + DM at the same time.

*knock on wood*

Have any applicants that were asked to send in more supporting documents received AIP after sending them in? I just sent mine in today, hopefully they will look at them right away and make decision.

I'm not sure, but i would guess that when they receive the additional requested documents, they will review it at that time.... i mean..it makes sense...

but who knows with the CIC....

September 12 2013 here, no Owp yeat, but got Aip by email today :)

We don't even have SA yet, but my husband got a letter requesting more info, meds to be done, and to pay his RPRF. We sent everything in when his meds got done (Jan.13 I believe). Called CIC yesterday and they say they haven't received anything yet. We faxed, mailed (didn't ask for signature--foolishly), and emailed everything. Going to wait another week and call again. :(
